Can Anyone Help With This Please

#1 Post by smokie1010 » Wed Mar 01, 2017 8:19 pm

When I had my BRC System installed in my Astra 7 Years ago they also installed an electronic Flashlube System, little black electronic box type. Over the Years I have been topping the Flashlube up no problem but I recently topped it up and for some bizarre reason I didn't put the cap back on the reservoir bottle in the engine bay and have lost it. I've currently got a piece of plastic over it held on with an elastic band which isn't really satisfactory,
Does anyone know where I can get a cap from or does anyone have a new or used one they could sell me? Its the Yellow one arrowed in the bottom of the photo below. Thanks

Tinley Tech are the UK distributors for Flashlube. I'm sure they do replacement caps. Worth looking on their website or contacting them.

Thanks. I had a look at Tinley Tech but they don't do that Valve Saver System, its made by someone else, German I think, and uses Flashlube in it.

It's a different cap mate.. Those you linked to are for Flashlube stuff, Smokie mentioned Flashlube but really his is a BRC forced lube system... the type that gunges up LPG injectors and causes a lot of problems.

But TinleyTech might well sell BRC lube system caps, maybe just not listed on their site yet.

Update: I managed to get one.

Looked on the internet and found the Company that makes the System in Germany. E Mailed them asking where I could get one from and they said their partner in the UK is Tinley Tech so I contacted them and although they don't have this particular one on their website they could supply one for £7.20 including Vat and P&P.

So as Simon suggested, Tinley Tech did have them but not listed on their website.

Many thanks

Good news and just goes to prove it's worth a phone call.

Probably also true for other BRC bits - they have only taken over very recently from the now defunct BRCGB who were the distributor prior to going bust.

Autogas2000 also have some bits in stock that aren't on the website, so can be worth phoning them too if your struggling for bits.
