Hi, Im Colin from Hull a Newbie on this site, tonight is my first post!
Sometime ago i bought a 4.0litre Gems Range Rover engine with a Prinz Lpg system with it. I now want to fit this kit or most of it, then take it to Yorkshire Autogas (Hull) for it certificate.
I thought i would start with the tank, this is situated my the spare well, it seems the only position is with the pipes to exit
through the lefthand side of the well, im thinking of locating the filler conection on a bracket on my towbar, my first
question is how is the tank bolted down, i have four threaded holes on the top of the tank (can photos be uploaded on
here)
My next stage is to replace the inlet manifold for the one which is drilled for the Lpg.
So can you help with above, also wheres best place to locate other components, also any basic rules i must conform to,
which is best,copper/plastic pipe, anyone have a wiring diagram for Prinz system, any general advice with this post. thanks Colin

Is it Prinz or Prins? Prins is an expensive approved installer only kit that only Prins installers will have access to the software to set it up, Prinz is a cheapie East European system named solely to confuse people into thinking they are getting a top notch system for not a lot of money.
Presumably your tank is a 4 hole type, or filled toroidal, with the fittings on the outside? In this case yes, you would bring the pipes out of the side of the well (in the space where the jack should sit). The pipes need to be run inside vent tubes to allow any leakage to escaper to the outside. It needs to be bolted down to withstand 20g deceleration. With a tank like yours either steel bars over the top and bolted either side of the well or steel brackets off each mounting point to the floor next to the well. Spreader plates needed so the bolts can't pull through the floor. Filler point on a towbar is fine. My LSE has the filler on the side of the towbar while the P38 has it mounted on the moulded bit in the back bumper where the second electrical socket would go if it had twin electrics (with a steel bracket behind so it isn't just in the plastic).
The installation must meet a Code of Practice, (CoP11) in order to pass inspection. Normally you would have to buy it from UKLPG but if Yorkshire Autogas are going to inspect it for you, they may well supply you with a copy if you ask them very nicely. Easiest place to mount the controller (assuming GEMS) is on the inner wing next to the battery, nice and close to the petrol ECU to make picking up the wiring nice and easy. My vaporiser is next to the EAS valve block box, in the space that would be taken up by the cruise control servo if I had cruise control. Injectors can be bolted to brackets attached to a couple of the plenum chamber bolts.

Re: Want Help/info/advice fitting Prinz Multi-S Kit on RR P3
Hi, Sorry i havent replied sooner but having trouble with Central Heating /and been on shifts. Lots of info with your post, a wiring diagram would be helpful if any one has one. If i have done the photo right, i have shown my tank, i will sent more bit soon. I dont think Yorkshire gas would be that helpful, but no harm in asking! Colin ( i dont think photos have loaded, quota full)
