LpgTech DIY BMW E65 730i

This is my recent conversion on my Bmw e65, m54b30.

LPG ECU- LpgTech 316
Reducer- AC R01 250bhp
Injectors- Hana2001 Green (single)
Tank- Irene 75L

Now a little bit about LpgTech setting.\

After filling in all settings, start calibration, when finished you can adjust multiplier for idle(using slider on the left).

Then go to "bars chart" tab and get map for petrol and lpg.(red and blue bars at the bottom)


When chose "TECH" algorithm, after finishing with maps, you can adjust multiplier using slider on the left.
Erase GAS map and get it again to see difference after adjusting, do it again if you need.

You can adjust multiplier in old fashion style by choosing "STANDARD" algorithm. (moving dots up and down)
But TECH algorithm works perfect.

In "Table" tab you can see difference between times on rpm/load scale.

If you happy with mulriplier, you can do Rpm correction if necessary. Very easy since you got everything you need on screen.
And that's it.
All that took me not more than 45min.

In the end all I can say is that it was one of easiest conversion I've done (BMW is very good car to convert)
The only problem I had was when I tried to use adaptors for petrol injectors, unfortunately they didn't work very well... After couple of minutes car started running very rough and engine light come up.So I've drilled manifold.
Compare to Stag( this is the only system I can compare to) it's much easier and specially much QUICKER to get it on the road.
I've done about 500 miles so far with no problems.
I would recommend it to all, especially everyone who looking to convert car instead of Stag.

Lpg tech its become very popular in east e
urope...
I like stag red reducers. Have fit them a lot..very good reducers

I have to say. It's pretty neat and tidy. Don't like the look of the LPG tech. Second time I've seen it. And I just don't like the look of it. I don't like the look of stag either. That's just personal preference though.
Now from an engineering point of view. I like to be able to access my filters easily with no fuss. I don't want to remove anything. I want my customers to drive in 5mins later vapour and liquid filters changed, fuel trims checked,a quick drive around and off on their merry way. I just don't get the hiding stuff away thing tbh. Why create more work and hassle 10k later when it's due filters ? Especially when I personally don't charge for filters during the warranty period of 24 months. And knowing the general failure point on gas systems is the solenoid coils.

Only vapour filter will be a pain to change :( ,liquid one and solenoid quite easy access, just looks hard to get to it.
Don't like the look of the LPG tech
I must say, it is quite big.... they could do better, but on the other side it is very solid.

I fit/fix other systems as well you know, got to keep your hand in. But yes I have to say I primarilly fit emer. Just because the quality is good, the failure rates are pretty much non existent and the calibration algorythm is at tick over so no messing about with holding revs up and all that silliness. And I have to say, it's only ever out by a couple of percent correction. If you take those factors into consideration I reckon it's the best aeb based system on the market today.

Not that you will be bothered but the filler will not pass UKLPG inspection.

Could you not fit it by the petrol filler?

The only reason I can see that it might make a difference is when you're using one of the angled filler nozzles, in which case there'll be a twisting force in addition to the downwards force on the filler point. Realistically, I can't see it actually making a difference but it is in COP11...

I wouldn't have thought leaving the back of it open to the crud off the rear wheel would be such a good idea either. It should at least have a boot on it to protect it.

Dong think that's mentioned in the cop. Good practice but not stated. However bayonet orientation is.

If you see the studs on the inside of the wheel arch I reckon there'll be a liner there which will protect it.

It's all running o.k. I did about 3000 miles so far.
Motorway run 90mph, cruise control, non stop, 305 miles on full tank 60 liters.
City cycle drops a lot... about 230 miles on full tank.
I can say now, that A8 did much better...

All I had to do recently was tweak temp. correction in hot weather.
