Zavoli injectors

#1 Post by krs » Thu Jun 28, 2012 4:49 pm

My Subaru has Zavoli injectors fitted to the BRC lpg system.

It seems I have 2 faulty injectors according to my garage. Can a refurbishing kit be got for them? If not can anyone supply replacement injectors?

Thanks in advance.

ekk, that sounds a right bodge. Zavoli PAN injectors or Zavoli-stickered Matrix are nothing like BRCs.
Jaymic trade as Zavoli UK and used to supply refurb parts as well as new. You may have Pan, Pan-S, or Matrix types fitted, so you'll need to identify carefully.

Thank for the feedback.

I did speak to Zavoli UK and they said these injectors were used by BRC. The lady I spoke to asked the shape of the injectors then said they were subject to a recall.

I will speak to the original installer tomorrow. The system is only 18 months old and has a 2 year warranty. I'm the second owner but but had the system looked at by them in November.

I will post the results tomorrow.

Now I recall there were "BRC Light" official offerings with Pan injectors, as a lower cost option to BRC own - and it was none of the ones I listed, but the EVO type.
Hopr your warranty transfers okay.

Thanks for the information. As for low cost- the paperwork states the the installation cost £2300.

I hope I can get the injectors changed under warranty as I know the cost of BRC injectors is not cheap.

That's low cost as in cheap to the installer but still charge the customer the going rate for a BRC system to up his profits.

I went to the original installer and they confirmed faulty injectors.

They spoke to BRC and are filling in a warranty claim. Both the installer and BRC have been great and hopefully sorted next week.

All being well the pan evo's will be changed for BRC orange injectors. I will have to pay the installation and remap costs as the second year is parts only.

This should put any issues to rest.

The warranty claim was authorised by BRC and I have had BRC orange injectors fitted and the car remapped this morning.

I could not have been treated better and the car seems a lot smoother with the new injectors. Another bonus it the BRC injectors are quieter in operation.
