Why the recent LPG price rises?

#1 Post by MarkyM » Fri Nov 30, 2007 9:26 pm

Since I converted in June I've seen the price rise from 39ppl to 46ppl

That's over 15%

Petrol in the same period has risen from 93ppl to 100ppl

That's 7%

The govt has agreed to only increase LPG duty by 1ppl per year
At the last budget increase most outlets increased prices by 3ppl :(
LPG is a bi-product
There is a suplus of LPG in the UK/EU

In some locations I've seen LPG as high as 58ppl! :x

I'm reasonably sure that, given history petrol will drop by a few ppl in coming months, however I'm also sure that LPG won't drop back to previous levels.

So is it local suppliers/distributors choosing to get greedy, I can't think of another reason...unless someone else cares to shed some light?

Oh and I did email the LPGA but they came back with all kinds of waffle that LPG increases were actually less

At this rate the market is going to loose it's edge and conversion companies are going to fall by the wayside :(

Regards

Mark

INDIVIDUAL emails to these people may help out the cause ...
forget about block emailing petition c*ap ...

these people like or dislike to read individual complaints ...takes their time up ...and keeps them busy .

lets make them sick of us ...
and sit up and listen ...
so get your complaints off ...to these people listed below via snail mail or email ...fax..or phone .

so please everyone ...if you want a good future for LPG ...

get writing ,phoning faxing..complaining ..to
