How often?

#1 Post by buckejit » Sun Sep 30, 2012 3:17 pm

Hi All,

I am a 2 week old LPG convert I have never watched the prices of LPG in the past so i dont know how often it rises and falls.

does LPG rise and fall like the petol prices or do they tend to go there own way. e.g petrol goes up LPG goes down (in an ideal world :P )

I am lucky that I have 2 garages that supply LPG in my small town one is 77.9 and the other is 80.9. The garage 1 mile from my work is 74.9 and 30 miles away where the guy lives that installed my system its 71.9. So we have quite a large range of prices around here.

I filled my tank with 50ltrs the other day for £38 :)))

77.9 and 80.9 and you consider yourself lucky? That's bloody extortionate! The A1(M) services at Peterborough are only a couple of miles from me and I pulled in there yesterday to fill up and was shocked to find it's gone up from 72.9 to 74.9. Had I known I would have left home earlier and filled up at Flogas (4 miles in the opposite direction) for 68p.

To answer the original question. Prices tend to wander up and down as and when they feel like it but if there is a major rise in the price of petrol, LPG will follow it. The price often goes up in a month or so as the price charged by the wholesalers is increased due to the people using propane for heating.

Which town are you in?

My site also has the ability to give you historical prices of stations.
