I have a UK bayonet filling valve (pics attached) however it has no internal thread so how can I put a dish adaptor on it? Need to fill up in France.
Thanks

Re: Filling adaptor
Never seen one like that before, it doesn't look like it's had a cap so each time you fill you'll be blasting road dirt into the tank and it doesn't appear to be secured either. Your best bet would be to replace your existing filler with one that does have and internal thread (and mount it on a plate so it is properly secured). See https://tinleytech.co.uk/product-catego ... s/fillers/ then you will be able to use the standard threaded adapter. I've never seen an adapter that fits onto the bayonet.

Re: Filling adaptor
Yes though I would have to get it replaced. Many thanks
Re: Filling adaptor
Looks to me like it's an Italian dish type filling port fitted with a UK bayonet adaptor already.
If so you might be able to unscrew the UK adaptor and screw an Italian to other type adaptor in it's place.. I used the word 'might' instead of 'will' because I've known the Italian dish to fall to bits attempting to unscrew an adaptor that's been fitted too tightly for too long... either the front nut comes off with the bayonet adaptor or the rear side of the dish breaks, both due to corrosion/seizing.
I've changed a few of this type to proper bayonet fittings.
