Hi everybody,
I couldn´t find a thread about the following case. A Toyota Celica was converted to LPG. It run very well but there is something like an aspiration when it is powered on lpg in idle. It happens each 10 seconds and lasts less than one second.
All parameters seems good for example STFT, petrol and gas injector times, gas pressure (from 1,1 to 1,2 bar), gas temperature 70ºC, water temperature (90ºC).
The system fitted is ZENIT PRO and AC W01 injector rail (it is calibrated).
I asured that there is no vaccum leak.
I´ll appreciate any suggestion
Fabian
An Aspiration on Toyota Celica
Re: An Aspiration on Toyota Celica
I'd try clamping the injector hoses one at a time to see if it is one cylinder causing the problem. I'm guessing you mean something like a slight stutter at idle, possible either a bit of damage to the end of the hose causing a slight blockage (think like a slight flap) which is less noticable at higher speed with more gas flowing.
otherwise maybe your nozzle position isn't right in some way - photos might help?

Re: An Aspiration on Toyota Celica
We could read at least intake noise, misfire or surging into aspiration... You need to describe what you mean a bit better.
So far I read surging into what you said(?). In which case I would suspect either Bri's point on nozzle positions or the shape of the low load area of the map to be wrong, perhaps a combination.
