Probably using wrong version of software...

Hi Simon, ended up changing ECU as even with Stag personnel sending me different softwares I couldn't connect.

Some of the early Stag stuff only works with very early versions of software but that wouldn't apply to any ISA2 ECU. Stag Qbox uses different software again.

I would think it possible to create your problem by uploading incorrect firmware to an ECU, but having said that, Stag has a kind of 'protected mode' for updating firmware and the procedure can sometimes be done even if rest of the software won't talk to the ECU.

At least one firm uses Stag ECUs but with a different sticker on the front and running different firmware, also needs different software. But like the AFC / KME Diego situation, and for that matter all the usual AEB stuff.

It would be a coincidence for someone who doesn't really do many installs to drop on an ECU with a rather unusual problem?
