What Plugs Please

#1 Post by jem1961 » Thu Aug 04, 2016 2:50 pm

Hi all I have had a BRC system fitted to my 2009 1.8 Astra at first everything was OK but now it runs roughly at low revs, when we come to junction etc. I was told when we had the car serviced that the new iridium plugs are fitted. Could this be the cause and what plugs would anyone recommend for this car with LPG fitted. Many Thanks for any help.

Any idea what the actual ones fitted are (the maker and part number - they may be wrong ones for the engine, or just not ideal for use with LPG)

Your generally best to stick to the stock plugs in most circumstances, Some Vauxhalls use the twin electrode plugs, though they generally aren't recommended with lpg they are reportedly better on some Vauxhalls, I don't know if yours is one of them though.

If you can pull one of teh plugs out and let is know the part number it is possible to work out what normal plug would replace it
