Help required in Lincolnshire!

#1 Post by snowgoose » Mon Jul 04, 2016 11:04 am

Hi,
Can anyone help with tuning a Prins VSI system on a Mercedes ML320 (W163), in particular, getting the fuel gauge to read correctly?

Dunno if Andy Evans Autogas works on Prins, or I'm in Yorkshire... But I won't get a minute for a couple of weeks.

Andy Evans in Liverpool is a hell of a way from Lincolnshire.....

There's Keith Mugglestone near Boston who specialises in Jags but is a Prins agent http://www.jaguarfuelconversions.co.uk/

I assume you mean the indicators on the Prins installed Gas/Petrol switch? if so and it's anything like mine it's not the most accurate of instruments. Sometimes when I fill up I get four lit LED's indicating a full tank then after only a few miles covered it will drop to three LED's, then other times it will be many miles before is shows any change, It also depends how hot or cold it is with vastly varying readings from the LED's

Prins VSI

.....erm is not an answer.

Mine is pretty similar - so far it shows either 4 green LEDs indicating full or drops to one red LED indicating i'm about to run out. This bears no resemblance to the tank contents whatsoever, for example it was showing 4 green on sunday when i filled up and 2 minutes after filling up, it changed to one red and still hasn't moved! :?   :D
Cheers,
Dave
