removable tank

#1 Post by Zaphod » Mon Jan 11, 2016 11:06 am

A quick question. Is it possible to fit a removable LPG tank? I have a discovery 2, which has the two small tanks where the petrol tank would normally be, I also have a spare 90 litre cylinder tank that is about 3 years old. What I would like to do is have that fitted in the boot of the disco but be able to remove it when I need to use the load space. This would not be a common occurance so no issues with putting a proper tank mounting in, I was more thinking about the gas unions to the filler/engine

You'd still need non-return valves in the pipework to stop back filling the tanks but it appears you could use Hanson couplings to allow the tank to be disconnected and removed. See http://www.tinleytech.co.uk/acatalog/On ... gs_89.html
