removable tank

#1 Post by Zaphod » Mon Jan 11, 2016 11:06 am

A quick question. Is it possible to fit a removable LPG tank? I have a discovery 2, which has the two small tanks where the petrol tank would normally be, I also have a spare 90 litre cylinder tank that is about 3 years old. What I would like to do is have that fitted in the boot of the disco but be able to remove it when I need to use the load space. This would not be a common occurance so no issues with putting a proper tank mounting in, I was more thinking about the gas unions to the filler/engine

You'd still need non-return valves in the pipework to stop back filling the tanks but it appears you could use Hanson couplings to allow the tank to be disconnected and removed. See ... gs_89.html
