Stag-XL single point system on Astro Van

I have a 1995 Chevy Astro Van with vortec V6
I have had a Stag-XL single point LPG system fitted but have problems.
When i drive on LPG i get a warning light "service engine soon" flashing
I contacted the company that fitted the system and they told when they
fitted the system my lambda probe did not have any output to the Stag-XL !

I find this strange as when running the van on petrol i do not have a problem
with the lambda probe! Do you know if the Stag XL is Compatible with my
lambda probe???

Also when i run on petrol I am getting around 18-22mpg
on LPG I am getting around 11mpg

How long ago was the system fitted? If it's recent then I suggest a trip back to Wales to get it sorted - a well set up, appropriately chosen LPG system should not cause warning lights to come on. MPG sounds very low too; is that an average of a few tanks as LPG mpg figures can be very skewed by different pumps giving different fills?

I'm not suprised, unfinished job.
Stag-XL is capable of working with any narrow-band sensor.
You'll only ever find narrow-band sensors on USA cars of that epoch.
It is possible your sensor is bust. 1995 engine management isn't that clever about recognising faults, so a sensor confidence test on petrol is in order.
If it was bust at install time, they can't have set it up properly. They should have told you all this at the time they took your money.
Or maybe they just haven't wired or setup correctly in the first place.

Got a update.

Today got the van up to check the wiring on the lambda sensor and they
had wired it into the 2 wire lambda sensor after the cat! After a phone call
to a mate I found it needs to be wired into the 3 wire lambda before the cat.
Now it has been wired as it should be.

With help over the phone from a mate I hope to make changes via the software
to get it setup as it should be.

850 notes for a tank, R90E and Stag closed loop controller seems expensive to me, particularly when the don't seem to know how to fit a very simple system.........

Glad you got it sorted, i mean come on boys @ profess, its a chevy day van for gods sake ! How hard is it to convert one of them....personally a cracking candidate for impco i would have said. That would have been my choice anyhow.
So why did you not use andy evans in the first place ? Hindsight is a marvelous thing though isn't it ?
