System Upgrade

#1 Post by OnTheFenceDev » Wed Apr 03, 2019 7:41 pm

I will be installing a system update over the weekend - probably Saturday afternoon.

This should take about an hour unless the upgrade gremlins decide to pay me a visit.

During that time the forum will be inaccessible - wish me luck ;-)

System Upgrade complete - the gremlins appear to have focused their attention elsewhere :-)

As part of this update a couple of the permissions have been changed to allow moderators to post without having to approve their own posts - This appears to have gone successfully, but if there is any odd/unexpected behavior noticed when you try to post or reply please mention it (either a reply or new topic, or a pm describing the issue).

Initial tests appear to suggest all is working as it should do as far as I can tell.

Thanks Dave!

Testing timestamp - apparently there is an issue now that we are back in UTC (clocks went back)

That could explain the time of posts on this thread https://www.lpgforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=15278

Not sure if it's just me (I'd mentioned problems with time stamps being wrong yesterday to David) but my profile was set to the wrong time zone. Does the time shown at the top of the page show the correct time for you Simon?

I only see the time top of page on 'board index' and it's reading an hour fast.
My post time agrees with board index time, both an hour fast.
Bottom right of this page says all times are UTC+1

Form what I can tell the server is currently running on UTC so that should be fine.

At the bottom right of the page I have a note stating 'All times are UTC' and everything looks fine. Brian mentioned that his profile was set to UTC+1 so maybe you need to check there.

Its the setting on this page you want to adjust - Click the bit with your name at the top right to see the menu, select the user control panel option, then select board preferences tab and set the timezone dropdowns to the correct options. Not sure why mine was set wrong, but if yours is as well its probably something that was done automatically.
