Re: LPG convert a Honda Type r fn2 2007

Sticking valve saver on does make a difference as long as you make sure its working - best to get one with some sort of low fluid warning. I've got a Ford on 208k with a Zetec engine, those are known for burnt valves and its still ok at that mileage, Might be worth a compression test on your ...

Re: LPG convert a Honda Type r fn2 2007

Getting on for twice as much as putting it on one. If you are scrapping the car then there's not as much as it won't matter what you butcher to get the system off but if you want to convert the car back to just petrol then after the gas system is removed you got to plug the holes in the manifold ...

Re: LPG convert a Honda Type r fn2 2007

You'll find a lot of installers will recommend one particular kit as that is the one they fit to everything whether suitable for a specific application or not. Honda engines are notorious for valve wear, even on petrol, so will need a valvesaver of some sort fitting.

Re: LPG convert a Honda Type r fn2 2007

Yes it's easily possible but if you have to ask what kit it's probably a job best left to a good pro (and not just any pro because a lot of pros wouldn't deliver the results either). A wide range of components would be suitable but injectors have to be quick, gas entry points close to the inlet ...

LPG convert a Honda Type r fn2 2007

Hi guys,

Just wondering if its possible to Convert a Honda type r fn2 2007 2 litre petrol?

I heard a few people say that the valves may burn out, and others say its fine.

What kit would be best to use with this car and is the valve protection also needed?

Thanks!

Interested in a car - any good brand?

The vaporiser make is omvl
and the system make is STAG 4.

Not familar with either of them as just have experience with BRC - and have heard PRINS is quite good also.

Whats peoples options on omvl and STAG 4?

Thanks

Re: Anyone had any experience running an audi r8 v8 or v10 l

Hi simon thank you for all the above info.

The new vialle systems seem promising.

Do you have a ballpark figure for the cost for a v8 and v10?

And would extras be necessary such as flashlube?

Thanks

Re: Anyone running an audi a4 1.8 120bhp on lpg?

The 120bhp insurance is good because i have a young driver as additional driver on the policy, the others 170bhp and the 2.0 knock the insurance up.

But 120bhp with lpg is a good price on the insurance.

What sort of price would seem reasonable for a prins or brc gas kit with a remap for 200-220 ...

KME kits?

LPG ecu : KME Diego G3-E8
Reducer: KME Silver E-8
Tank: Gzwm 45 litre

Have any of the installers installed this on a C4 1.6 vtr in december 2010?

Has anyone here had any experience with KME kits, I've only had experience with BRC.

Re: Anyone running an audi a4 1.8 120bhp on lpg?

To address the other part of the question;
As FSI equipment is engine-specific, you might well get into difficulty if you have a kit fitted to a 120bhp engine, but later change the engine to something else (by having it remapped).

Probably not so much a mapping issue, more likely LPG components ...

Anyone running an audi a4 (B8) 1.8 120bhp on lpg?

Or anyone had any experience running this engine.

Its the same engine as the 170bhp but just the car has been remapped limiting the bhp.

Once remapped this car can get to 200-220bhp.

Is it a sensible option to convert one of them to lpg and have ...

Re: Have a citroen c3 1.4 on LPG. Problems...

Yes you should be looking at 30+ easy. The one I converted did in the region of 38.
Reason I asked about the petrol thing is that it proper messes about with the cars ecu if it's low on fuel (or thinks it is) all the issues I had, ended up being directly contributable to low fuel. Put some petrol ...

It's sensor drive I think (sx).
I had a right pain in the arse with one. Kept stalling as it was returning to tick over. But not all the time either.
Have they fitted a fuel gauge fix ? Or does it always think its out of petrol ?

It runs fine from petrol to gas, and from gas to petrol fine ...

Car is an automatic, 55 plate citroen c3.

Has a BRC kit installed in 2008.

And is giving 19-20 mpg.

Just had the petrol side serviced, and am a bit lost why it is giving poor miles per gallon.

Have taken it over to a gas place and they have told me that it won't make any difference to miles per ...
