Converting a Clio 1.2 8 Valve, Valve saver needed?

Just a quick question tbh, Is running a valve saver on a 1.2 8 valve renault clio 2001.

Not sure if it's got soft valves/seats?

Does anyone have a list or something to know what cars are required to run one?

Kind Regards

Re: A Question Regarding Multivalve Location

Every tank installation is a compromise. Look for reasonable protection from collision - I guess the bumper should be providing that, but be sure your valve and pipework won't protrude in the space that would be taken by the bumper mounts crumpling i.e keep within the floorplan.
Not the whole story ...

Re: Corsa c conversion

You're welcome Luke,

Must have been the 1.4 A2, so nozzles will probably be OK for the 1.2 Corsa..

Simon

Oh good, i will soon see once i get to the mapping stage

I'm glad that the kit is second hand or I would have to make comments about about buying the kit and then asking for advice ...

Re: Corsa c conversion

An easy conversion for sure...

Depending on what nozzles you got with the OMVLs you may need some smaller nozzles.. Some of the Zavoli reducers have a limited range of pressure adjustability - if you got 2.5mm nozzles they're gonna be too large to run at 1.2 bar (depends where you bought the ...

Corsa c conversion

Hi, im currently gas converting the black corsa i did the head on.
The corsa is a 2002 1.2. I've already drilled and tapped the manifold and got the rail all mounted and piped up.
The manifold hasn't got the flaps in the manifold so im presume it's an easier conversion?
The kit is a Ac stag 300-4 ...

Re: Alternative Injectors

Fair enough.

Trying to replace with seperates to save too much re-organisation.

Do you reckon these would be a straight swap? Am I likely to have to have the ECU set up again to take account of the new injectors or would the existing settings likely to keep it running the same?

Re: Spark Plug Gaps - Necessary?

No issues with the Alfa they use Iridium tips. Didn't change from the standard gap even on petrol.
Then again it has two sparks a cylinder which is annoying.

Will the spark plugs take a battering now its on lpg?

I have always understood it this way.

LPG is a dry fuel and requires a better spark ...

Re: Spark Plug Gaps - Necessary?

I think what Gilbert is trying to say, gapping down the Iridium plugs is not advised.

How ever some cars spark plugs just work better on LPG gapped down and some are fine with the standard plug gap.

If im right the 4.4 v8 Should be alright with the standard plug gap

Don't forget it's also christmas and having there car LPG converted is the least of there worries now.

Do you not find it fluctuates after the christmas period?

Luke - I am not a member of UKLPG, never been a member, yet I can phone any of several people and they will register the vehicle for me on UKLPG's database without even seeing the vehicle. Some suppliers offer the same even to amateurs.
