Think it was the 2013 UK MOT updates where every garage had to have a can of leak spray and a towbar electrics test, they now have to test for LPG leaks

Ok so you know your running LPG that's good, driving down the road isn't going switch you from gas to petrol unless you have a loose wire in which case I would suspect to see the switch lights going on and off, my next suggestion being a green oval thing... Check the fuel filter for leaks first ...

Had something very similar to this myself the other week same kit but on a disco, the odd thing when the LPG kit was flicking to has I could even here a solenoid click I was 100% certain I was on LPG although I was running pure petrol...

We can assure you that the mini Lovato reducer is certainly not 'useless', we have supplied many of them and when fitted/used correctly, thay last many years (just like any good quality reducer).
Perhaps not suitable for your project though.

The tank is an odd ball thing, it's a miniature 15l stako tank 30 degree with stargas multivalve I think it is, it looks like new wouldn't fit it to anything normally but the trike does about 60mpg anyway so 15l tank should get me around 120 miles before refill
