Cheers, it just needs a good look over, it runs great but I've never been impressed with the mpg , I feel it could be better.

Looking for someone to have a look over my ls400, any local experts? Kme Diego g3.. Regards

i have used f1 AUTOMOTIVE IN Bolton they have done a B R C convertion on my car and up to now it is a first class job which is very neat and tidy and seems to be a very professional . and at the moment it is running as it should do

Thanks mat, Ill tell him to leave it alone if potentially it'll block injectors, we dont want that.

Someone I know with a 740 BMW on gas is having a few issues, on warm idle if he switches over from gas to petrol or petrol to gas there is a slight increase in rpm, it doesnt misfire, but what he wants to know is; if he runs the auto calibration, would this probably smooth out the switchover? and if ...

Sorry i hadnt noticed you posted another pic. Does it have anything marked up in the lid. Like k+ and k- etc. i woukd be intersted to see if you do manage it. Then again. You may need a JOBD scanner if its an import.

Ive already got an Autel MS509 reader, so I may just buy an adapter for a fiver and give it a try

yeah its the type where you bridge the ports to read the flashing codes, a bit of googling and 1996 USA LS400's are obd2 compliant, but our Uk ones of the same age arnt. checked my other LS400 which is a few years younger and thats the same too..

It would've been nice to have a MPG gadget etc ...

My 1996 lexus LS400 doesnt have OBDII, it has this connector port

Id like to buy something like a scangauge to monitor mpg and also use an obdII reader to check error codes etc

See they had a problem with the rev sense, hemi type engine ticked, wire not connected. Absolute bugger to get to the coil pack. :lol:


Yeah I did wonder that, stating its coil on plug for the 8cyl...

It has 2 coils for the 2 distributors... which are pretty easy to get to

The lambda doesnt have to be connected. Its better if you do and have problems, because the more data the better at that point. If you can see the lambda going lean and staying lean then you can adjust accordingly. But its not needed because the gas ecu follows the petrol ecu's injector timings. As ...
