Hi Simon,
I fitted the wideband lambda at the weekend and got some time to have a stab at tweaking the LPG map. An as-is test showed it was running ~14.7:1 until on boost, but then it was getting progressively richer towards the redline at full boost. I saw AFR as low as 9.5:1. This was surprising ...

Re: OMVL Dream XXIN Nozzle Size & Battery Disconnect
Simon, thank you for sharing your experience on this, it is very helpful and reassuring. The changeover switch doesn't flash under full load and there aren't any fault codes being logged.

Re: OMVL Dream XXIN Nozzle Size & Battery Disconnect
Thanks. Looking in Tinleytech they rate the reducer as being good for upto 280HP. I guess like a lot of ratings this is somewhat optimistic.

Re: OMVL Dream XXIN Nozzle Size & Battery Disconnect
Does anyone know anything about whether this is typical behaviour for a vapouriser or what part in the whole system is likely to be responsible for the lack of gas? Or can suggest where I might be able to find this information?
I have tried the search facility, but without luck.

Re: OMVL Dream XXIN Nozzle Size & Battery Disconnect
Assuming this isn't a fault with the system and is the normal result of running out capacity to deliver gas, as an alternative to remedying it, and moving back to my original question, is there any way to supplement the gas system with petrol addition?

Re: OMVL Dream XXIN Nozzle Size & Battery Disconnect
I just went out and checked the gas pressure and it seems I have problem!
On a lukewarm startup it was 2.5 bar, dropping immediately to 1.8 bar as soon as it switched to gas.
After driving around a bit it seemed fairly settled at about 1.75 bar +/- 0.05 bar. Giving it some of the beans it dropped ...

Re: OMVL Dream XXIN Nozzle Size & Battery Disconnect
Thanks for your reply :)
The injectors are Matrix type.
Going from memory, gas pressure is 1.8 bar and is set to HP in the software. I'm not sure what it does under load, I will check.
The kit is fitted to my Rover 820 vitesse
The ECU having non-volatile memory is what I would have expected, so ...

OMVL Dream XXIN Nozzle Size & Battery Disconnect
Hi Chaps,
I've had my OMVL Dream XXIN (Non-OBD) system for several years, but recently upgraded to the latest software, which has given me more settings to play with and to correct some things that previously weren't quite right :)
Firstly, the software reports the nozzle size to be about a ...

Re: OMVL Dream XXI Servicing?
Hi again guys,
I finally remembered about these filters around a month ago, but when I went to order, the liquid filter was unavailable:

A lady from the shop told me they were having trouble sourcing them. I've waited a while but ...

Re: ..after a power upgrade - what do I do to the LPG system
I don't know if this feature is common to other systems, but the OMVL software lets you supplement the LPG with petrol above a certain injector pulse time. I plan to use this when I exceed the ~65HP/cylinder ceiling on mine, so I hope it's effective

I like the towbar mounts
I don't have a towbar so improvised a little:

There was no way I could bring myself to take a holesaw to the rear quarter panel...

Re: OMVL Dream XXI Servicing?
Hi,
The cold weather thing is a problem that's been there from the beginning. It seems the OMVL ecu and the original engine ECU (Rover MEMS) just don't get along well. I've had a wideband lambda on the car and it's spot on when warmed up (14.7:1 AFR), but from a cold start in winter it's much ...

Thanks
I haven't noticed any running problems (aside from the normal cold-weather ones), but original filters must have seen three year's use by now...

Re: OMVL Dream XXI Servicing?
Thanks for the reply
I assume the filters you mention are these ones?
http://www.autogasshop.co.uk/omvl-vapou ... -672-p.asp
http://www.autogasshop.co.uk/omvl-dream ... -681-p.asp
And that there's no way or need to drain anything from the evaporator?
Thanks

OMVL Dream XXI Servicing?
Hi guys,
I stumbled onto this forum yesterday and it seems great :)
I'm hoping someone here will know the answer to a question I've been wondering about for a while:
