Re: LPG gauge and tank
If the small green light is blinking you are not on lpg. No mater how much fuel the gauge says you have. Simple

Re: Intermittent gas pressure ?
Have you checked the resistance of both solenoids?
A small short in the solenoid will give a low open on the valve and restrict flow.
Check resistance, voltage drop and current flow through both.
If possible monitor the current draw around the solenoid line from the lpg ECU when running and during ...

Re: astra van 1.6 8v petrol/lpg misfire
If your getting it on both fuels its most likely parts used by both systems, so coil, plugs, petrol ECU and compression
If you have a short in the petrol ECU injector pulse line to the LPG ecu then on both fuels it will not be happy as on petrol it will misfire if injector pulses are lost and on lpg ...

Re: DIY 2002 Daimler Super V8 (Jaguar XJR, X308 type)
If you can get your gas inlet aimed down at the valves rather than across (small elbow maybe) it would be much better, you don't need a long tube, the gas stream itself is quite directional, it’s at 14 psi. If you bolt the injector assembly back and pulse the gas inlets with compresses air at 14psi ...

Re: DIY 2002 Daimler Super V8 (Jaguar XJR, X308 type)
Just an observation.
The injector’s look like they inject into the top of the valve, this is common, as it makes sure the fuel is as close to the valve as possible when it opens, it cools as it evaporates and lubricates a bit.
So injected fuel is a liquid, it goes as a high pressure stream towards ...

[quote="SnoozyBMW"]Personally i think it should be against the law for lay people and hobbyists to try and install lpg equipment, this is a fundamental safety issue in the same vein as an mot and people are obviously not allowed to conduct their own mot's no matter how able they are.

Re: Prins problem
The Stag system I have switches over when the gas pressure at the regulator drops below a preset value (i.e. your out of fuel), the fuel level in the tank is immaterial as the gauge is pretty poor at telling exactly how much fuel you have left.
As you drive the tank contents will move around, alot ...

Re: newbie, hello astra G 1.8
According to the wiring diagram and the pin layout of the ECU it only monitors a single line from the petrol ECU, not both +ve and -ve lines, so if the pins are the wrong way round switching the software settings will do nothing, your still monitoring the wrong line.

I fitted a Stag 300 ISA 2 to my car, never fitted a system before, and took lots of pics.
I am a mechanical engineer so figured if I can't figure this out then something is a miss.
My car does have OBD, but is a 1999 and the OBD reader I have does not talk to it. So passed on OBD

I assume the codes are generated when running on petrol.
Start by connecting the petrol injectors directly back to the pertol ECU. Not thought the LPG ECU.
To test your injectors simply, disconnect the wiring plug off all 4, test the resistance of the injectors with a meter. All 4 should be the ...

Very true, but if the combine and all other processing equipment ran on renewables then the CO2 print would be 0 over 2 years. Crude oil is CO2 neutral over 1 million+ years, thats the issue. How much more CO2 does 1L of veg oil create over 1L of diesel?
Fact is all the CO2 we are producing was once ...

Re: Approx MPG figures
Why use waste veggie oil, you can get clean new oil from catering supplies for 85p a litre. No filerting needed and they deliver.
Would go with a dual tank system tho as that protects the injectors and pump a little more than running and pure oil all the time.
