I don't think diesels are going anywhere personally.
Typical head in the sand approach of diesel driver. The garage sale forecourts are being flooded with diesels. Increasing supply. As the media presents the concerns over tax increase on diesel there is falling demand. Excess supply and waning ...

Re: BMW CAN-BUS error
I'm no expert but as a fellow bmw owner my impression is that 1) relates to Direct Stability Control - i had this warning on mine when one of my tires had a slow puncture but i guess it could be many other suspension based concerns.. not sure about 2). The 3) looks like a Exhaust Gas/Smog fault ...

Good to see you back here Paul.
At the time I knew exactly where you were coming from. I had no idea you had received PM's having a go at you!
I have always see this as a friendly forum and when you arguments broke out I thought it was a rather sad day for the forum.

Re: Advice Please - Alfa - SaveLPG Oldbury Birmingham
So yes you are against any regulation within the automotive LPG industry.
Like i said, personally i feel the industry would be better without unregistered installs. Obviously that annoys you but that doesn't surprise me. It annoys me that there are people conducting installs in an unregistered ...

The only people it doesn't mean much to are the unregistered installers and hard core DIYers (both tend to dislike/resent being on the other side of the regulatory fence)

And do you honestly believe a professional installer would ever use a morrisons shopping bag to effect a repair??!
I know you're not a registered installer Simon and so have more sympathy with the DIY brigade. The old brake pads argument always comes about from the DIYers when considering LPG ...

Re: Doing the LPG conversion; My full report
So the top of the multivalve is at the top. Get it wrong and your fuel gauge will read backwards, it'll never fill from empty because when it's empty the valve will think it's full and not allow you to put any in.
What are you talking about!
it is at the top
Whats all this about turn it at a 30 ...

Re: running great on LPG, rough on petrol
When running on LPG did you always keep a fresh supply of at least 1/4 tank of petrol in the tank - to keep the petrol pump lubricated?
I believe the petrol pump is running continuously, even when driving on LPG, and if it is not adequately submerged in petrol, it can burn itself out and become ...

Gilbertd, Versus is polish designed and engineered but the ecu is thought to be AEB based with modification by Versus.
As this thread has been bumped I will clear this one up. Versus has no connection with AEB whatsoever.
No problems classicswede, you know we don't agree about versus. It doesn ...

Re: ECOTEC MANCHESTER
Well everything Tubbs and Rossko are saying makes logical sense, those that can't get over uklpg being the main regulator either need to become uklpg certified and then voice their concerns or risk staying forever on the periphery.

Ah we'll have to disagree; your opinion is at odds with BMW who service the car and have been quietly impressed with Versus. My installers is a BRC authorised centre and I'm certain he doesn't use cheap Chinese copies. He's also a proper UKLPG installer.

That's interesting classicswede, what your saying is in conflict to Tubbs and Gilbertd when we discussed this a year or two ago.

The system is Versus but the ecu is AEB based with algorithms modified by Versus, well that was my understanding.

Not far way from you, over here in norwich.
I had my 2007 BMW 3 series converted by autotech using an aeb based versus system and not a single problem in nearly 4 years. Good prices, good warranty, uklpg approved and courtesy.

linsdav8284 I have no further comment for you, if you believe turkey is a first world economy then fine, GDP data and human rights abuses would dictate otherwise. Take a look at wiki, their gdp is 52% of the eu average.

I can see why there are very few uklpg pro's on the board, as there is a general disregard for them from the diy lobby et al. I feel much of the disregard is cynical in its basis. It would help if uklpg represented themselves here.
