OK, the kit arrived today and it looks ok although I am going to clean it up a bit. The junction to the lpg jets is a little messy so I am going to remove the jets and get a small drill in there to avoid the flow being interupted.

Likely they'll be OK, just flow rate I'm thinking about.. Each cylinder is 530cc and the engine is supercharged, so will need to flow more than for a normally aspirated 530cc cylinder. Some injectors wouldn't be up to it even with largest nozzle size and highest pressure that they'd work OK with ...

What injectors and reducer did you get with the kit Guffer?

The reducer is the KME gold vap, not sure about the injectors, I'll have to check, but they are more than sufficient for a 3.2 and more.

They are Motogas make, 3 injectors on the same rail. Worked well in the car I used to have ...

720 fits with fairly mild persuasion. 270 will lift the boot floor. Stako valve boxes stick up above tank level further still; I was annoyed by this!

S/H tank off fleabay? Plenty of P38s with compatible tanks heading to the wrecker at the minute...

Great find, I'll give them a go on the XJR6. Worth it to save tkaing off the intake and drilling the manifold

I am about to embark on converting my XJR. I posted some while ago about this and finally found one. This is the old XJR6, the last of the 6 in-line supercharged jags. I kept away from S-Types and X-Types due to the soft valve seat issues I have heard so much about.

A good friend switched me on to a product which allowed engines like the Jag straight 6 lump to have lpg fitted without drilling the manifold. Unfortunately the business (in Hampshire) has stopped making them due to lack on interest. An internet search since has found these:

I apologise if this is against the grain but I would like to resurrect this thread. I am fed up of waiting for my dad to make a decision so I am looking to buy one for myself and convert it. I am looking at either the 6cly or an early V8, thus no issues with the fuel return/trim issue.

I just went out and recounted the cylinder and yup it definitely only has 6 and a nice big supercharger. It's an N the year 97. Actually, I'm being cocky. I know what the car is lol

I am guessing twin gaps would require splitting a single feed from the tank to two.

Would normal injectors do the job?

What about vapourisers? Would it need twins or would a single do the job?

I have just converted my Omega to LPG and I am loving it. While talking to me dad he was wondering if his sorry looking jag can be converted. He cant afford to run it on petrol and is interested in LPGing it.
