Re: vw golf 1.8 turbo 20 valve

Well. Personally I would go for a multipoint system. As turbo reducers on single point systems are notoriously hard to get right.
Sorry for the confusion. Maybe I should have read it properly in the first place

Re: Lambda connected?

It can adapt itself to a certain extent. But perhaps your new 'lary' cans could be affecting it. Personally I would take the gas system out the loop for a bit and see if the petrol ecu corrects itself. You had a Vauxhall code reader that did live data as I remember ? So you should see if the fuel tr...

Be worth running it on petrol and seeing if it logs the same fault. I know it hurts ! But sometimes needs must !

Re: vw golf 1.8 turbo 20 valve

You need to drop the exhaust and heat sheild. Then you can fit a standard centre toroidal tank. Filler is a pita. Drop the bumper off and either cut a lump out the rear crash bar or remove it completely. Water is a bit of a pain for the reducer. Use one of the oil cooler water pipes. In and straight...

Re: Jaguar v12

 As Simon says !
You can run them 'slaved' on a 6 cylinder kit. I've done one like that. And it worked fine. Big old lazy lump so it's not too taxing
Just get a nice big reducer.

Re: Spark plug gap

As I'm sure I've said many times before. To get a proper idea of mpg. You need to fill up from the same pump. As the shut off pressures differ from pump to pump. For example. Mostly I fill up bang on 41 litres. The other day on the m25 I had run out of gas. Pulled in for a refil. And it only took 36...

Re: Bigas

Those v30's on my mates 2.0 litre forester finally wore out last week. 88k on the nail. Not bad considering the £18 a pair price tag. And the fact that he's flogged it from arse hole to breakfast time. Often towing a trailer or just dogging the hell out of it. I can't really fault them !

Re: Bigas

The bump stop o rings on the bigas injectors do go. And they do recondition fine. But you need to take a measurement on the base of the nozzle and the body of the injector with a feeler gauge. That's the calibration mark as I remember.

:D Cut injector negative wire. It's got two pairs to each injector. Grey / grey black trace. Yellow / yellow black trace. The black trace always goes back to the petrol Ecu. If that's what your asking ?

You can schedule all your tweets and shit to make it easier, just write em. And set them to go off whenever you want ? Which is good. Because you, probarbly like me. Only really get on with it when your quiet. When busy. You're busy. Don't have time for it. But the reason you were busy is because yo...

Re: Spark plug gap

Gapped at .7 will be fine. They ain't so fussy about dwell. Unlike fords for example who run an insanely big plug gap.
