When I had my car with him, I can say that he had a large workshop filled with equipment and spares, for most systems, plus I did see his laptop and it had a huge number of diagnostic programmes on it, again for most systems.
The best way to find out is to give him a quick call on his number shown ...

Re: Not switching from Petrol to LPG- Landi Renzo system
Gulp!!
All I know was that it was installed 'profesionally' in 2005/06, by a Company 30 miles away located in Carlisle-"Autogas Carlisle" but they're no longer at their address.
So.... wonder where the actual temperature sensor is, as I've searched everywhere.

Re: Not switching from Petrol to LPG- Landi Renzo system
The image below shows what I think is the temperature sensor- as I posted earlier, it looks like a solenoid but is actually half-way in the rubber pipe, betwen the Vapouriser and the water pump.

Re: Not switching from Petrol to LPG- Landi Renzo system
I tried checking if the temperature sensor was connected to the Vapouriser, but apart from the gas pipe, the only other connection is the pipe connecting the Vapouriser to the water pump- this pipe has what looks like a solenoid attached to the midway it, with a 4 wire connector. I can't actually ...

LPG Repairer for Glasgow and South-West Scotland.
Can I recommend a lpg mechanic I used to repair my Landi Renzo system.
He keeps his charges low by working out of his fully equipped large garage workshop, situated at the back of his home.
Recently he spent over an hour repairing a vapouriser fault on my system, including using the Computer ...

Re: Not switching from Petrol to LPG- Landi Renzo system
Thanks for the info- it's still occasionaly switching on the lpg immediately on ignition start-up, but not when the engine has heated up. It runs fine using Petrol only.
I'll try to locate the temperature sensor tomorrow, and disconnect it to see if that would work.
Problem is, the vapouriser is ...

Re: Not switching from Petrol to LPG- Landi Renzo system
Thanks for your replies-
I believe I have the earlier system, as 'Dougie', the lpg mechanic up in Glasgow, tried the LCS/2 Management programme on his laptop, plugged into the ECU, and it wouldn't recognise the system.-

Re: Not switching from Petrol to LPG- Landi Renzo system

Re: Engine cuts out when switching from Petrol to LPG
sorry- the way I put it was confusing-
The actual gas tank size is either 75 or 80 litres- it quite big and takes up half the boot area.
When the tank gets empty, I can only ever get a maximum of just under 60 litres gas in it - this limit has remained constant since I've had the car 2 years ...

Re: Engine cuts out when switching from Petrol to LPG
Yes, quite a few times I have ran completely out of lpg, as we only have 2 lpg filling stations in our region- it definitely never automatically switched itself back to petrol running- what happened when the gas ran out was a sudden loss of acceleration, but it still allowed the car to 'tick-over ...

Re: Engine cuts out when switching from Petrol to LPG
I'll check whether both front and rear tank solenoids are 'clicking' when I drive the car later this morning, thanks, and let you know if both seem to be actuating.
