Re: Autogas event tonight

It was Autogas themselves the company that you see on the shell forecourts, although autogas is owned by shell and calor, they want to get more people converting and were looking for ideas on what would get people to go with lpg.

They are in talks with car manufacturers to get them to start making ...

Re: ECU Swap - Wiring question

I did also forget to mention that the ECU's face opposite direct when installed.
Yeah this caught me out, as the plastic box ecu use to be in with the engine ecu and fuse box, I now can't turn it around to fit in so need to try and work out if it will fit with a new loom or if not move it ...

Re: ECU Swap - Wiring question

well... false alarm! I did a full ecu reset on the metal version, put all the settings back in and calibrated it and it's working fine, just got to do the fine tuning to get the trims better and all is done - well until I get a new loom and move it to a better place as it's currently resting on the ...

Re: ECU Swap - Wiring question

Well it gets interesting, the plastic box to metal harness has worked, remapped and it's fine although having very little gas confused me as it was bleeping on a test drive so I thought it was a fault at first...!

But metal one to plastic harness won't work, the error is Tank Solenoid Error, so am ...

Re: ECU Swap - Wiring question

Thanks, yeah I thought that the OBD would be missing but am not bothered about it as it's disconnected on the Hyundai due to it interfering and causing more problems than it solved for me!

Will be swapping them over tomorrow then!

Re: spark plug/battery advice Hyundai santa fe

I have to say that my experience of platinum plugs was not very good, a lot better with Iridium's instead - Sorry Andy! but i tried after our discussion but they just didn't play ball.

I also had issues with ignition coils when i first bought mine (before LPG), so i put 2 new ones on and it sorted ...

One day you will find that you can't stand with one hand supporting the weight of the filler nozzle while holding the button on the pump in with the other.
Oops.... i never support the filler nozzle, just stick it on and press the button....! but then my fillers are fitted in to the rear body so ...

Re: It Lives

I had to replace the coil packs on my santa fe, they were fine on petrol but as soon as lpg was on it would misfire quite a lot, i ended up replacing the leads and plugs and now it runs much better...

as a side note i did replace them at first with platinum's and recently replaced the plat's with ...
