I done some testing with Gas in the mk4 1.9tdi and at 160bhp it would smoke like a good one
we used some LPG in the inlet to clean up the burn an make a bit more power

we had a CNG lorry in work
it has only a few places it can fill up in the uk

Unless... The lorry owner buys a CNG compressor. Just think, rig the gas meter at work, compress the gas out of the mains supply, run the lorry for nothing!
its some thing to do with Volvo i think they pay for it all ...

that will be a easy one to find
look for it with some brake cleaner and the engine running spray on boost pipes an wait for the engine to rev up on its own
but only use a small abount of cleaner at a time
the manifold would be my start point

got a few more bits to change on the car ie
the Turbo is going to get changed again for a T35 turbo
with a new manifold i should get this done some time soon when the car is back from the body shop as its in for the front bumper to get replaced

the srt8 engine i have has a lpg system on it and has caused no problems
the ls3 had wanted new valve seats after a few years and a tidy up on the head but that was no biggie

on my 300C Srt8 the engine Cut's down to a V4 when being used around town and all 8 come into play when you push it a bit

its all down to water temps
I had a std water rad on the car for a bit last week and it went over to LPG in under 2mins of starting the car first thing
with the uprated one back it its taking a few miles again :lol:

Hi the Z20LEH engine is fine with a LPG system
my friends one had 60k on lpg with out any problems at all
my car has the engine an box from the VXR in the Gsi

i was on the M1 all day in the Rain :lol: so i was stuck at 30 to 50mph for 80% of the time on the way home till the M25 then i could open it up
but I did have 2 Z20LEH engine's in the boot so could not go mad on the motor way :(

well i did 427miles round trip on one tank of lpg and i stuck £7 in as it was not full when on the A406 as the mrs had been using it for the past 3 days on the school run

just makes it a bit harder
the car is going to change a bit more now
the head will come off as i am going to change the cam belt and i will clean it all up or i will use my other engine an build that with Arrow rods an std pistons

go for a 1.8 over a 1.6 as they are well @!## engine's I do lots of them the cab drivers around hear have 1.8's with lpg in astra estates an zafira's

I do lots of vxr's with big engine builds and the 1.6 is under powered for a big car :)
the 1.8 is a bit better as its got 140bhp and it ok
