but it seems irregular when feeding it 12v , so in the end i have decided to fit a set of matrix to the front engine , same as the back engine ... i got these off ebay ages ago , and they ...

thanks simon , that sent me in the right direction , not sure i understand what has happened though .

i primed the system ,and undid the connection to the reducer a few turns ,result , no gas emission . i had earlier tested the solenoid gas valve , and it was clicking .

so , clicking solenoid ...

on medusa , my front engine reducer, a early vsi , is being fed lpg , but its not coming out of the other side at the 17 psi i require, in fact, its not coming out at all .

is there anything inside one of these reducers, like a blown diaphragm or o ring ,that would create a safety ...

fascinating , thank you Simon , isnt it odd when something that works perfectly well gets changed to something naff .


i still grieve over the loss of my two good r90's , one of which was a bona fide turbo version with the factory pressure connection on the back plate , that got taken from where i ...

to update this , my first whole year results are in .








i payed 60 quid a month in ,i started the year 165 quid in credit , and received 150 heating contrib from hmg , and i am now 950 in credit .


so thats not too bad i think .

i am lucky in that my system seems to work ok at 26c -32c radiator water temps , so i am in the upper cop areas .


Re the price per unit , with the agile tarrif there have even been occasions ...

my first full month on octopus agile March cost 34.62 and used 241.8 kw ...averages out to 14 pence per kw ,

not including the 18 quid a month standing charge.

and the solar payment was at 15 pence per kw .

solar production was 322kw

exported power was 105 kw

total hs usage was 368kw for that ...

here you go simon , every day for january ..

winter solar output from 6kw of panels gilbert .

two rows of panels ,green lines , totalling to the black line ..

and since january, although solar income only started in june ..

thank you gilbert that an interesting comparison , in my case i felt like it was worth it to try and see how well i could make it work , i would not have considered it without the panels , and the battery was an unexpecteed bonus .
