Re: LPG app iPhone?

Thank you Brian, that's really helpful. Nice to see that there is still some stations out there for travel up & down the UK. I'm going to be doing quite a bit of driving in my Range Rover instead of the diesel Land cruiser I have bought as that's proving troublesome and I was worried that the ...

LPG app iPhone?

Is there an LPG app for iPhone to find out national LPG stations?

I have looked in the App Store but can't see one.

Re: Remap & extra power, whats involved while running LPG?

What are the trims? The injectors have a yellow dot on them & say class 2 & I wouldn't drill them as I'm not an expert, I'd leave that sort of thing to someone who knows what they are doing.

Re: Remap & extra power, whats involved while running LPG?

The LPG ecu will adjust to the petrol ecu, you'll just have to do the remap and then see how it runs, if it goes lean, then you'll have to get someone who has the prins kit to see what adjustments are necessary.

How will I know if it runs lean? What I don't want to do is get the remap done then ...

Re: Remap & extra power, whats involved while running LPG?

It will be put on the dyno as that is part of the remap so I will see what power it produces before & after. Will also be able to see the difference on LPG also. I have read somewhere that the LPG ECU takes the signal from the petrol ECU & adjusts as it needs to, is this correct? From what I can see ...

Re: Approx MPG figures

The best option is to find one that has been converted, that's what I did. It may take a little longer to find your desired car but it will be worth the hunt.

Remap & extra power, whats involved while running LPG?

Ok at the moment My Audi S6 is pretty standard with just an exhaust & performance air filter, standard figures are 340bhp so maybe a little more with the exhaust & air filter but who knows if it's lost any power of the years. I will know when it gets put on the rolling road, going to get it checked ...

Re: Plug change due, which ones? Brisk maybe?

Ok, don't think I'll bother with the Brisk ones then. Just need to decide between the Bosch ir fusion or NGK BKR6EIX. If I go for the NGK they come pre gapped, what gap do I need for the Audi on LPG?

Re: Plug change due, which ones? Brisk maybe?

According to sparkplugs.co.uk I should be using this plug NGK BKR6EQUP which is Platinum. It also seems to be a BMW spec plug when you Google it.

Edit: I have now gone onto the NGK website & the upgrade plug is the BKR6EIX & then one called LPG1 as the next upgrade. Have now got thoroughly confused ...

I've looked at the NGK Iridium Spark Plugs & the Bosch Platinum-Iridium Fusion http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-S6-4-2-Avant-Quattro-99-01-BOSCH-Platinum-Ir-LPG-GAS-Spark-Plug-FR5KI332S-/120890336998?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c25a026e6 I ...

Plug change due, which ones? Brisk maybe?

Hi,

I had a spark plug blow out of the engine the other day so it is going in on Friday to be re-threaded. I obviously checked the plugs & they could do with changing + the one that blew out is damaged anyway. So time for some new plugs, the plugs that were fitted were Audi Bosh super 4 & I was ...

Re: Does the Cat need to work in order to pass the MOT?

I will have to take my L reg Range Rover classic for MOT soon, it only runs on gas & has had the cat removed for a tubular manifold & full stainless side exit exhaust. I was told that it will be fine going through an MOT without the cats as it runs on gas, is this not the case now then?

Re: How far do you get with LPG? eg. How many miles for £10

Audi S6 4.2 V8 Quattro 340bhp fitted with a 60 litre tank. I get between 100-140 miles out of a full tank, depending how I drive which is quite hard most of the time.

Re: What size tank do I have?

When I looked the other day I couldn't find it but I just went & took off the top cover of the tank. Found the info & it is a 60L tank, & says fill to 80% max capacity. Funny how I can only ever get between 37-45L in. I should be able to get 48L if my math is right.

What size tank do I have?

How to I know what size tank I have, it's one in the spare wheel well in an Audi S6 Avant. Some days I get 37 litres in, other days 45. Sometimes it doesn't click off though so I stop at 45 max. The last time it clicked off was 42 litres & that was on a warm day. These figures are alway from empty ...

Re: Strange things at the one gas station.

Well everytime I fill up I drive for a while & our nearest garage is about 10mile away too, but I see your point about getting it fixed. What I could do for now is only fill up 37 litres as I know that when it works, that's when it cuts off when filling up from empty.

Re: Bought an S6 on LPG

I'm very happy with the car & the lpg kit, no problems & you can't even tell it runs on gas, even on change over.......except under hard acceleration. The only thing I have noticed on a few occasions on fill up is it doesn't always cut off.
