Yeah defo remember seeing chiave in the error. The install isn't that old so feasible it's risn other than the older ris.

Re: Romano RIS software not connecting
I've already tried all the lower com ports. I thought it was strange the romano software didn't have an option to specify what port. Most software I've used previously had it.

Romano RIS software not connecting
Hi Folks,
Not touched anything LPG for some time now but I was asked to have a look at a friends bongo with RIS system fitted. It runs on gas but frequently stalls. I've got a universal LPG interface (USB-serial). It's worked with most systems over the years and but I can't seem to connect to the ...

Re: OMVL dream 21 no lambda connection or OBD connected?
Cheers guys. I'll have a little investigate further next week. I had discounted ignition issues as I've normally seen ignition misfires show up under load, not idle conditions but it's entirely possible the ignition system needs an overhaul. Had hoped I could just plug in and diagnose a simple fault ...

Re: OMVL dream 21 no lambda connection or OBD connected?
Ahh because it had the option for the OBD data I thought perhaps the dream ecu need some kind of feedback.
The timings are fairly similar on petrol or gas after doing the auto calibration but the tickover is lumpy and after blipping the throttle it want's to stall on LPG. On petrol it's smooth and ...

OMVL dream 21 no lambda connection or OBD connected?
Hi Guys,
I've just had a look at a dream 21 install on a friends F150 pick up that's running very poorly on LPG. Fuel trims are all over the place and within the dream software it's not recognising either lambda sensors (they are not connected via the grey/violet wires direct to the lambda sensor ...

Re: How far do you get with LPG? eg. How many miles for £10
The problem with miles per £10 is that it's dependant on price of fuel and unlike petrol LPG prices can vary by as much as 25% depending on where you fill.
For me it's about £10 for 90 miles in a 2.0 primera.

Keep it secret from the masses so the government doesn't raise taxes?
Even if the prices don't change the que for the one LPG pump in my area will get longer!

Hit 85ppl here in Essex. That's a 41ppl saving although in real terms it's maybe a 20% saving overall per tank.
Funny thing is 20 miles up the road I can buy it 15ppl cheaper but I almost never go that way

Re: Cold starting
Depending on your vaporiser (likely an impco model e) you can either fit a primer button actuator or start assist valve.
Also depending on what kind of change over switch is fitted you can flick the ignition a couple of times to fully fill the vaporiser with fuel before starting.
To be honest the ...

Re: newby with v8 ski boat....
Personally I'd flog the 3yr old tank on ebay as it'll fetch a half decent price and buy a likely cheaper 4 hole jobbie that is over 10 yrs old as they are cheap as chips.

Re: newby with v8 ski boat....
No need for a dual curve in this application as it'll run either points or EI via mechanical advance. I'd bump the timing forward a couple of degrees though.
As for your tank look on ebay. There is no need for certification so you can pick up a 10yr old tank for peanuts.

Re: newby with v8 ski boat....
4 hole tanks are good one boats as they lend their self to flexible supply and fill hoses due to the jic/flare fittings.
I wouldn't worry too much about getting the biggest size possible unless you don't have onsite LPG.

HKL are the UK disty for impco but i always get my kit from the US as it's loads cheaper. Nashlift on ebay.com are pretty good and have used them in the past.

Yes impco 425 if you want to run LPG all the time. If you want dual fuel then impco 300a 50&70 series.
100L tank will fit no problems in most 19ft ski boats. 120L at a push.

Where were the bottles stored ??
Just at the stern of the boat. It was a ski boat so they just strapped to the gunnels. Oh did I mention the local hydraulic shop sold them the fittings and said it was ok to use orange hose and jubilee clips on the high pressure hose!
