Re: Spark plug gaps - simplified

By closing the gaps you will put less of a strain on coil packs as the voltage doesn't need to be as high to get the spark to jump the gap.

Hi Gilbert, thanks for that. Is there a magic figure to reduce the gap by? or is it trial and error?. The standard gap is 1.0 - 1.1mm, or in my language 39 ...

Re: Business LPG car

I use my X-trail for business use, it is my own private car which I chose as more suitable for me and my needs than the standard issue company car, an Astra.

I get paid a car allowance each month instead of getting a company car. Out of the allowance I have to fund, tax, insure, MOT service and ...

Spark plug gaps - simplified

I've read lots of stuff on here about plug gaps, and reducing them seems to be the way to go, so, before I get me sockets out I'd just like to ask a simple question.......my plugs are standard gap, will I see any benefit in closing them up a bit? I'm thinking about long term benefits, i.e. reducing ...

Re: Insurance Companies that Insure LPG-converted Vehicles

Directline have quoted me renewal of current insurance at £806 inc monthly d/d premium & legal cover & protected ncd & guaranteed courtesy car. After much hunting around I have got the same from Aviva for £488. I am very impressed with that, saving me over £300.

Check them out if you're looking ...

Re: How often do we get what we actually pay for? ???

Yes, I think the LPG filling station pumps are closely regulated, so I doubt there'd be much difference on how much you get from one to another, where you will get a difference, as has already been said, is where one filling station has less in their tanks than another then the pressure it is ...

Re: 99litres into a 100litre tank?

I would suggest that if you fill up again before it's fixed, either, stop filling at 80 litres, or, if its at the manned station and they are likely to fill it up to the max, then make sure you fill up at the start of a good journey, i.e. 30 miles or so, that way you'll be reducing the fuel in the ...

Re: FillMeWithLPG.co.uk

Just put 3-4 stations on the map of the ones I use that weren't already on. Just wanted to say congrats to the OP, nice and easy to use the site to get them on.

I'll find it very useful when I go on holiday or day trips out of my area, as long as folk keep putting the stations on so there are some ...

When mine was first fitted it was set up similar to yours, but I noticed it wasn't using any either, so I just re-set it and it's been fine since, so maybe they need a bit of time to settle in?

LPG stations in North Devon - Nr Bideford preferably

I'm off on me Jollies in July, camping in North Devon at Bucks Cross ( between Bideford and Clovelly ). On the LPG maps they show Robinsons garage in Northway which is just up the road, which would be very handy.

Does anyone know if it's still in business and selling LPG? Or, any other outlets in ...

Keith

See my thread below about my conversion by Birmingham Autogas. I filled up at their Nechells branch today and their gas it now down to 53ppl, roughly 10ppl cheaper than at home in Leicester!
