Re: DIY LPG Service

Many thanks for your response guys. Glad you've all managed to confirm the job should be as easy as I expected. I'll have to have a look for the liquid phase filter though as hadn't ever seen its location, but then again was never really looking for it. The gas phase inline one is just a disposable ...

DIY LPG Service

I've tried having a search to please forgive me if this has already been covered. I'm looking at doing a DIY service on the BRC LPG system Fitted to my 2004 Fiat Stilo. The system is coming up to having done 50,000 miles and was last serviced by the company that installed the system 25,000 years ago...

Stolen Car - Green Daewoo Nubira Estate - R656 CVF

Hello people. Long time no posting. I hope this is allowed and isn't against forum rules. Just wondering if you can spread the word on any car forums your on please. A friends car has been stolen in a rather nasty burglary where they've taken the keys for the car and used their own car as a get away...

Mine wasn't when it went in for MOT 3 weeks ago and was presented on LPG.

Re:

I would presume therefore that Admiral don't load it for LPG Conversions. The policy documents now received also clearly show the modification. They do. I'm now with them and they wanted a further £30-£40 for the LPG, but beat everyone else by £500 odd so I wasn't to fussed. Whats it down as on you...

If I had a saloon car i would put it behind the number plate and fit a simple hinge to lift the plate and reveal the filler. I've seen it done like this and is very neat. Sounds like a good idea. I suppose it saves getting a colourcoded fill up point, and keeps it hidden from passing people fiddling.

LPG Leak

Hi all. Filled up my LPGed Stilo this afternoon via the rear bumper mounted fill-up point. All went well until I went to remove the filler, and undone the leaver to release the pressure. Done this, and removed the filler and LPG was actually dripping onto the floor from behind the bumper. Was hittin...

yes in last year budget, something like lpg will cost 40p less than petrol for the next 3 year (2 year now) Ta for that. I actually done calc's last night, and LPG with my MPG needs to be 30-40ppl cheaper than unleaded to make it worth using to make a decent saving. Any less than about 28ppl and LP...

LPG system Service

What prices do people pay.

I've just paid £50+vat (£58.75) for a LPG service. I know they change the filter but how much do they cost? For under an hours work and a visual inspection I don't know if that was a good price or not.

3 pence per Leter Tax rise

As most will know this will be coming in on 1st April for Petrol and Diesel, but will it affect LPG?

I'm mentally assuming worst case senario and assuming that it will but does anyone know for sure?

I called and checked with RAC and they said if I get a puncture I can either be recovered to a tyre place of my choice or home (as I have the onwards recovery option).

So no spare needed.

But half mile of city driving, and country driving from cold will give different heat outputs for the system will they not?
