Hi Chaps
Had the old girl since this time last year and no issues with the LPG till now and just to be clear, this is not a cold start issue, it starts fine from cold and switches over to gas after a few miles, runs fine. What then happens (on occasions) is if I stop for a few minutes say to pop ...

Little problem
Motor has developed an annoying intermittent problem, runs fine but recently occasionally it wont run on LPG when you start it up when still warm, acts as if the tank is empty/low pressure, get up to 25-30 press the gas button and runs fine after that, doesn't cut out under load. Did it tonight and ...

Re: Tank Angle
Thanks for replies.
classicswede, ground clearance is fine, departure angle is different and is affected by angle from the rear wheels to the lowest point at the back of the car, with an LPG tank this is greatly reduced.
All the connections to the tank are at the front.
So are we saying there is ...

Tank Angle
My D3 has a donut tank fitted underneath in place of the spare wheel, however unlike the spare wheel which sat at an angle almost flush with the bumper at the back, the tank is fitted level seriously compromising the departure angle when off-road. Now I cant see any physical reason why the tank cant ...

My local guy has said he cant fit electronic flashlube fro £150 or "German Oiler" for £350, any thoughts is one system really £$200 better than another.

D3 4.4 on LPG
On the verge of getting a Discovery 3 V8 4.4 that has a Prins lpg set-up. Its currently in the garage having reconditioned heads fitted due to a valve seat problem, as far as I know it hasn't got valve lube fitted, would it be worth doing this?

Re: Discovery no gas.
It's a romano 5-6-8 cylinder cpu but that's all I can see on the box.
Apparently he is waiting for the parts, but is concerned that it will need programming and he doesn't have the "dongle" to do it.

Re: Discovery no gas.
Gave up trying to find the problem myself limited time, took it to the local LPG fitter, who has diagnosed a failed pressure sensor and he will try and get one for next week, not spoken to him yet to find out what the try is all about but assume it's a different system to the one he stocks and fits ...

Discovery no gas.
My Discovery has decided it's empty of gas despite it being full.
Background, went out the other day filled up with gas and petrol, went to start, nothing but the odd relay click, starter motor gone completely. Got her recovered home, disconnected battery, fitted a new starter, started fine but ...

Re: No Gas
All I can tell you is it has Romano injectors and a magic 3 reducer, the ECU is positioned in such a way I cant see the plate on the side. The system was already fitted to the motor when I got it 4 years ago and the magic 3 reducer added with larger diameter pipe when we upgraded the engine from 4.0 ...

Right been out, did a mile and and it "run out of gas", stopped at the petrol station to fillup on petrol and tried the gas again, it did two or three miles and "run out" again. The second time it went so suddenly it didn't even change over

Re: No Gas
Unfortunately not for the LPG.
Going to pop out for a run and see what happens as after I fiddled with the change over switch the gas worked, now I wouldn't have thought that a faulty switch could trigger the flashing empty lights/beep or could it but my initial fiddle resulted in no lights ...

Re: No Gas
Seems that's no the problem after all, just started it up to follow Tubbs advice on filling the coolant, got up to temperature and it cut out again and didn't switch to petrol this time, just stopped dead.
Switch over has never been particularly slow Gilbert.

Re: No Gas
Well it was a tad low  less than pint, started it up and revved up and it switched no problem (it was still warm from our run earlier), didn't realise water level was "that" critical. Will take it out for a run tomorrow just to be sure as I am off to Belgium on Thursday.
