Re: Question re jeep cherokee
Agreed the emulator will be the bit that's gone down.
Side subject and not relevant to the problem but if it were me I would be curious to know why the replacement CPS didn't work as well as the old one, incorrect part?

Look under the car and measure the distance from the bumper to the middle of the small petrol tank and also from the side, then just transfer the measurements to the inside with the tailgate open, so yu will know roughly where the pump/sender is, start with a smallish hole and once you can see ...

Re: filling up with gas
Update to the leaking refuelling guns problems the last two or three times that I have filled up I have gone to Countrywide at Melksham Wilts and had no problems with leaking at all yesterday it took just over 65 ltrs so I think that proves that the nozzle on my Jeep is ok.

Re: filling up with gas
There are two kinds of nozzle. The better one IMHO is the one you twist and then pull back a lever. That's absolutely fool proof.
The other kind has a rather loosely fitting ring and then a trigger with a silly little catch that often fails to hold properly. I find that kind fiddly to use, and ...

Re: filling up with gas
I mostly use one of the two places near to where I live by near I mean both are 5 miles away I do not have this problem every time having said that it tends to leak a little most times but some times it is quite bad this is what makes me think that it is not my car at fault I have spent so much on ...

Re: filling up with gas
To be honest I usually wait for the buzzer to go off then I change it over to petrol depending on the weather If I try it on gas the next day it may go for a bit before the buzzer goes of again but not more than a mile or so. I think the tank is 75 ltr but most of the time it will the pump will stop ...

Re: Gas getting scarcer
I have an account with Cuntrywide and there are two places that I can fill up near where I live ( I should add that they give you a big list of places that you can use) both of them about 5 miles in opposite directions I just put in the plastic coded key and tap in my pin and fill up them then it is ...

Re: WANTED URGENTLY A PRINS SWITCH/FUEL-GAUGE
One thing that I was thinking about if I cannot get hold of a switch/gauge I am not bothered about the gauge as I just drive it until the buzzer starts buzzing then I switch it over to run on petrol and fill up with gas when I have time to go and get some.
Just what dose the switch/gauge actually ...

Re: WANTED URGENTLY A PRINS SWITCH/FUEL-GAUGE
I don't see it as a bodge, more a temporary solution to avoid running on petrol when you don't realise until you can obtain the correct switch.
I'm sorry I did not mean it in a nasty way It's just that I was worried that people would think that the problem has been sorted and I have been thinking ...
