It just seems curious that making judgements about likely movements of world oil prices should be down to one small local manager. It's not as if he sits at the big table with OPEC, BP etc.

I asked the man at the only LPG outlet within 40 miles of home this morning why LPG was still 80p.
He said he had locked into a contract for 6 months just before oil prices started to fall, and couldn't do anything about it.

But an MOT test doesn't involve any inspection of the LPG system at all, does it?

I always present on petrol, and the tester has never commented on the existence of the LPG. I don't suppose he has even noticed it.

I refilled at BP Reading services on the M4 a few days ago, and noticed that the engine didn't like the fuel. It had a lumpy idle and stalled readily. This persisted for the whole tankfull.

I have a Volvo 240 with fuel injection, converted to LPG many years ago with a simple open-loop mixer.
It's primitive by modern standards, but it works reliably, and gives good fuel economy.
