Hi

Sounds interesting your Frontera 2.2 Diesel with lpg assist, did you fit the system yourself?
I 've read alot about diesel lpg conversions. Do you get more pulling power?

My engine light is on all the time, my brother has a code reader, and we clear the fault codes alot, eventually got bored so just drive with the light on constantly ...

recommended spark plug

My A150 Merc is due for a service soon, but I would like to change the plugs myself in between the service.
Which would be better then standard,

1. Bosch Super4 Plugs.
2. NGK Iridium Plugs.

Opinions please, if anyone has tried different plugs what were your experiences.

Thanks

I have an 07 Merc A150 on gas, its due a service soon, I've been reading about how spark plugs can effect the running.

Are standard plugs ok, or do I need specific ones like platinum?

Thanks

It sounds like the mixture while running on gas is well out which has upset the adaptations in the petrol ecu.

To put it in laymans terms the cars petrol ECU learns the best settings for your engine and driving conditions as you drive and stores these corrections in memory as adaptations to the ...

How would this affect the running of the car, as the car runs fine now on petrol after merc did something, if it was the maf would i not need a new one, but merc seems to have fixed the problem, on petrol anyway.

You see it runs poor on gas then i revert back to petrol and still i get the poor idle ...

got the car back last night and all is fine running onpetrol, but i dare not touch the lpg button as this is what set it off last time.

Do you think the LPG guy has wired it up incorrectly as the dealer said there were some new wires connected to the Main ECU, is this normal?

The Merc dealer has still got the car today, as yesterday he said he tried to plug in the computer and do something but it just keeps saying failed tried again and said failed, he said the ecu is not letting them do what they want to.

Is this a problem with the ECU?

No, when I turn the car off and restart the problems still persist even on petrol. don't know what limp mode should feel like, but the car still jerks and misfire, in petrol and GAS.
