He might replace the filler for you to, depending on how busy he his, as he mainly does towbars during the summer months and concentrates on LPG conversions during ...

It is a very common problem for the thermostat to stick on the Vauxhall Astra.

The gauge should read between 80 and 90deg. once warmed up.

If you find that the temperature is only ever this when in static traffic and drops very low when moving, the thermostat is sticking and needs replacement ...

Unlikely to be a different part but unless you have a noticeable misfire the coil pack is unlikely to be the cause of your problem.
Start by examining the air filter and checking the plugs and plug gaps
Vauxhalls are very prone to problems with the EGR valve gunging up which causes rough running ...

Hi,

Funnily enough, I have, today, had to gain access to the back of the filler to replace the cap tether, and I'll tell you now, it was a little rusty. I certainly wouldn't relish tackling it on a cold day.

Getting to it isn't too bad though. Take the parcel shelf off and remove the shelf ...

Re: Astra l.p.g car just a few questions

Firstly when you finish filling up and you release trigger do you just get a puff of gas or a gush of liquid gas cuming back out

You should get 'just a puff', however it is a fairly dramatic puff!! and scarey for LPG newbies. Hopefully you've seen some other people filling so you'll get some idea ...

Is that what you are after? Are you going to clean out the throttle body, butterfly and clean out the gunk in the breather pipes?

Best Regards

Re: Vauxhall dealership

You will struggle to find a Vauxhall dealership still supporting your vehicle.

I have found all but one in Derby and they are not cheap.
