XJR is V8, you will need vaps that are suitable for 400 bhp.

I was asked to carry out an inspection on a Passat that had just been converted in Poland, I came up with more than 20 fitting faults, never seen anything like it. The owners thought they would save cash by having it converted when the went back to Poland on hols.
Be warned.

cats are not a requirement for MOT test, you just have to pass the emission test. in my experiance no LPG vehicle will pass a 'cat' emission test without the cat. if the vehicle presented for MOT is dual fuel, you must inform the test station, it will then have a basic (non cat) emission test ...

The MOT test doesnt allow for converted vehicles, they arent on the emission database, so are tested to 'default' non cat levels regardless of what year or model the vehicle is. So if you tell the tester / receptionist that the vehicle is Dual Fuel, then as long as CO is less than 3.5% and HC less ...

i have actually seen a tank discharged untill it freezes, it then stops boiling off vapour, not for the faint heated though, deffinatly not recomended.

Word from Broquet is that it works with LPG, just as well as with unleadded. they carried out extensive tests in Australia with LPG vehicles, says it virtually eliminated valve recession. obviously easier to install in a dry tank though, says they sell to a number of installers.

never thought of using broquet in an LPG tank, sold quite a few when 'leadded' petrol was phased out, never had a bad report, but for that matter never had a good one either. have'nt a clue weather it will work with LPG, though cant see why not, will send them an email to find out.

No an LPG car will not pass 'cat' emissions when running on LPG, but an LPG car dose'nt have a 'cat' emission test for MOT, just the old 'non cat' test ie, CO less than 3.5%, HC less than 1200ppm, and it makes no differance weather its a brand new manefacturer supplies car or a 10 yr old self ...

The fitment of a 'cat' or not is not part of an MOT examination, the only thing is the vehicle has to pass the relivant emission test, whish 1993 on is a cat test, only exception is an LPG equiped vehicle, it has a basic 'non cat' emission test for MOT. take that from an Authorised Examiner, a ...

LPG vehicles do not have a 'catalyst' emission test for MOT, so a cat is not required for MOT.

Dont think V6 Omega works on single point, due to manifold design, though only fitted sequential to them so have no 1st hand experiance.

Its the tester who inputs the type of fuel for the test, quite right that it is test as presented, so if presenter tells the station its lpg, then it only has a basic emission test. DVLA & VOSA dont seem to work that closly.
