a quick question for pro installers, ive seen some boats running on lpg where the owners havnt mounted the filler rigidly on the outside of the boat ,ie they have the bayonet fitting just hanging loose inside the boat on a flexi pipe

reducer is very hot all the time, no lack of heat, it does tickover lovely at 650 rpm for most of the time ..but it just lifts to 900/950 at times then settles down to 650 again ..its raw water cooled ..the temp gauge shows 160 degs consistantly which what its supposed to when ok.where is the best ...

ive replaced all the hoses .. ive sprayed around all joints while its doing it and cant detect anything, ..i will take it off and replace all the gaskets for base plate and all the joints .. its got a holly throttle plate under it.. wheres the best place for gaskets in the uk

425 mixer on chevy 350

ive got an impco setup with a 425 mixer and a model e vaporiser on a chevy 350 in a ski boat .it runs fine apart from an intermittent fault where after a run the tickover sometimes stays up at around 900/950 revs .. it then will go down to normal tickover a minute or so maybe 2 later...

bigas is 7mm i took it out in the end and checked lol ... it was in a boat thats stored miles from my house just thought someone would know and save me a trip lol

vff30 vacuum pipe

looking at a 5.7 chevy boat engine ive just bought with an impco setup, the vacuum hose from the vff30 goes to a stub at the base of the mixer,but tees off to the breather from the rocker cover with the pc valve in it ... its been running ok is there anything amiss with this ?

impco 425 air filter/flame arrestor for boat

im looking for an air filter /flame arrestor for a 5.7ltr chevy in a boat with a impco setup its got a 425 mixer. it has a metal gauze type one fitted but its only about 35-40 mm deep and theres a large gap underneath it where air gets in totally unfiltered..the mixer top looks like it needs ...

160 is the recomended stat, but i think there is a 180 if i can locate one i will give it a try.

its run on freshwater always ..theres no corrosion in the vap, waterways are clear..its plumbed in from a blanking plug at the side of the thermostat housing on the inlet manifold, which is right at the side of where the temp sensor is fitted, and it returns via a y pipe plumbed into the raw water ...

hya,and thanks for the input .. .. its raw water cooled as you call it .. freshwater was my description meaning open not closed cooling circuit.. it does have a stat fitted and brand new and 160 degs ... the engine temp guage shows 160 when running up to normal temp.. its a chevy block but an indmar ...

what is the minimum temperature its possible to run a lpg injection system on ..i have a setup on a ski boat and it runs at 160degrees F which is giving me 60-62degrees c through the vapouriser, its a freshwater cooled system so its not possible to run it any hotter without converting to a closed ...

sorry my description was totally bad.. just looked at one of these nozzles.. they have a convex domed end with a ring of 6 holes drilled in it .. they are 3mm diameter from the rubber pipe end .. to me though as a quick estimate it looks like approx only half the 3mm is drilled through.. approx half ...

mesh was probably the wrong description .. its part of the brass nozzle and it looks like the end has about 5 holes through it instead of 1 full hole

ive seen nozzles that are just plain brass tubes and also ones with like a grill over the end ?
is there any difference to performance with them, whats the idea of the grill/mesh is it to create swirl or something with the lpg? just curious as to why its needed?

i tried that ..i had a kme gold reducer.. then i bought a new bigas r121.. runs great ..but as i said its just building pressure after its turned to petrol or turned off...
