Re: Subaru Outback 2005 Conversion
I suppose this is all an experimental process for me, and I'm trying my level best to keep safety in mind. Being unfamiliar with the full law/regulation regarding LPG, I'm applying common sense (which I know ain't common to the common man) to most of the iterations. I think ideally I should be ...

Re: Subaru Outback 2005 Conversion
Oh....it is common practice to exchange an empty bottle for a full bottle, namely anything 9kg and above. The refilling is an option, especially for smaller capacity like the 7kg and below.

Re: Subaru Outback 2005 Conversion
How will using the bottle filling adapter not raise alarm at a forecourt? I mean won't they still see you filling a bottle? If instead of the direct connection to the bottle the filler was fitted on the outside of the vehicle with a pipe running between that filling point and the bottle on the ...

Re: Gas not shutting off when filled.
Good Day. 2+ years ago I fitted LPG (there's a thread on here somewhere) to my Honda crv mk2 2 litre. It paid for itself way back when fuel prices were high and fuel was in short supply. I'm generally a happy bunny altough recently I have a fault on fill up. Basically the tank doesn't stop filling ...

Re: Subaru Outback 2005 Conversion
Has been a while since last update. I can say, I've been doing more and more homework to find all sorts of solutions to lengthen my range, discover refueling stations, get an understanding of prices, plan my route so it passes gas stations.

The car has a Superseal connector. Interphase simply say NO LPG CONNECTED. When I plug in the USB, it sees it (the USB cable), but not the controller.

Identify ECU to download software
Hi Guys,
I've struggled for over a year now with trying to access my Autogas ECU. I've purchased x2 interphase cables, initially got a 3 wire one, and then got a 4 wire one (my ECU has x4 wires at the reading port).
1. How do I identify which ECU I have?
2. Does Windows 10 or Windows 11 not work ...

Re: Are there enough merits for a new LPG conversion in 2024?
I've run my autogas now for 2 years, done 62k km over that period of time, and I'm genuinely loving it.
Is it cheaper to refuel? YES
Is it easy to refuel? NO . I have to plan my life a bit more, which on the flip side is perfectly fine.

Re: Subaru Outback 2005 Conversion
They are already listed on mylpg.eu, see https://www.mylpg.eu/stations/south-africa/#map
This lists service stations that sells LPG in bottles, not autogas. Most service stations in South Africa exchange empty LPG bottles (namely 9/14/19kg) for pre-filled ones.
The list I shared is where a ...

Re: Subaru Outback 2005 Conversion
I was unable to get the interphase working. The misfire disappeared, so not sure what caused it and why I had it. Been a few weeks now,and I've done quite a number of long distance trips already.LPGC wrote: Wed Aug 14, 2024 2:47 pm Did you get the interface/software working and get rid of the misfire?

Re: Subaru Outback 2005 Conversion
I've been trying to put together a list of autogas refueling stations around South Africa as I find them. Some are unconventional and refilling takes a LONG time as their main focus is portable cooking gas bottles.

Re: Tomasetto AT02 Tank Conversion
Oh...I did change both filters, and to be honest, they were not in a bad state at all.
The jerking/misfire started out of the blue. It wasn't after refueling or anything. I have subsequently refueled as I was around 1/2 tank full.

Car started misfiring/shuddering /jerking this week when running, hit the switch to petrol and it runs super smooth. Unfortunately the technician/installer is MIA, so I need to access the interface to see what's happening.

Re: Tomasetto AT02 Tank Conversion
I'm thinking of wiring the switch to the pump upfront so I actually can run this setup on long night trips. I'd only stop to open the valve, and then continue driving. I'd probably run a 14kg(30L) which will give me a comfortable 3 extra hours on the highway.
