Actually it won't pass a CoP11 check if the check is done properly. CoP11 is clear on securing the vent pipe with metal clips.

There was an incident somewhere in Europe where someone bodged a filler so they could fill an LPG tank from a CNG pump not realising that the 50+ bar pressure that CNG is at would burst an LPG tank intended to be used at 10 bar.

No, its a one-off certification. Not annual MoT. These continuously get blurred together and cause at least half the friction.

Just on your point re insurers and UKLPGA , that is not my experience. Every insurer I have had quotes from insisted on me being able to evidence UKLPG approved instal. Please tell me what insurers dont ask for this - I will make sure I get a quote from them next time.
