Flashlube system - possible leak?

Hi All I am getting an issue, where if the car is sat for longer than 24 hours then when cold starting i get a small puff of white smoke out the back. It is not using oil or water and all is fine in that respect. I have in the past had issues when the flahlube has been over-dosing and i get the same...

Re: Slight problem & servicing

Thanks for the advice Rossko.

Autogass2000 do a rebuild kit which appears to include all the relevant parts needed should i decide to do them.

I will do the plugs and LPG filters first and see what that brings...

Thanks

Re: Slight problem & servicing

I will do the plugs. It has been running with flashlube since the conversion was done. Probably best i get on and have the system serviced then.

It does run a little lumpy at times on gas at idle. Are the injectors easy to rebuild

Thanks for the help.

Slight problem & servicing

i have been having an issue lately with the lpg system popping back through the inlet on the odd occasion, mainly when pulling away from junctions etc. The system is on a 1998 Subaru Forester 2.0l non turbo. It is a bit of a hybrid system that was fitted in the end to get it all to work correctly. G...

Re: Countrywide - just got bill and no budget price reductio

When speaking to them the other day, they told me that the gas has gone up by £10 a ton but havent passed the cost on!

Isnt the fuel duty different for LPG though from petrol and diesel?

Flashlube Alternatives

As the price of flashlube has nearlly doubled since i last needed to buy some, does anyone recommend any alternatives that they have tried and know work ok? I see there are several different brands around now, all at varying prices! I have tried searching and looking around, but cant find anything c...

Battery

I am needing to disconnect the battery on my car for around 4 days. Will this upset the gas ecu (zavoli alesi N) and loose all its settings? I have it all saved on the computer anyway, but just wanted to know before the car is started again! I know the petrol ECU will reset itself!

Thanks

yeah the newer engines are slightly more efficient, not by much though! They are thirsty old things and eat fuel for the fun of it im sure! My normal drive is to work which is 18 miles and urban driving around 40mph most of the time, so get a decent mpg figure out. On the motorway it stays around th...

my forester (1998 2.0 N/A) runs around the 26 mpg mark on LPG and about 29 if im lucky on petrol. Thats under normal driving, not booting it very often. If its driven hard then i have had it down to around 21mpg! They are fuel friendly machines! Im running a multipoint vapour injection system on min...

one thing to check on the gas MAP sensor is that both the posts have small holes in the end. I had a replacement a few months back and one of the posts didnt have a hole in it, hence wouldnt have worked at all if i hadnt noticed it! Mine is a Zavoli system too, so may have come from the same source....
