To be honest I was going to post pics on here but forgot my log-in details and just couldn't get in, so I was well chuffed when you picked up on the posting in the Lexus Owners forum and posted it on here. As you can tell, I'm now back in properly

That's brilliant Simon, thanks mate. It's currently lashing down here with lots of thunder and lightning so I'll give the 'throttle blipping' a go in the next day or two and let you know if it's not doing what you expect.

Turns out that my code reader won't work on his van, or there's something wrong with the OBD on the van - my reader works because I tried it on my car, but it says 'connection error' or 'lookup error' or some such thing on his van, so no further forward yet folks.
