For some strange reason I always seem to get "worse" economy on short fills (i.e. Filling before empty or nearly empty) too.

I don't look at MPG when comparing costs as it's really an unfair comparison. The fuels have different calorific values as well as densities. I work on pence per mile savings ...

As can the Stag system which the OP already has experience of, so I'd recommend that Just make sure that all the components are of sufficient specification for the power requirements

WRT Swiftcover and LPG, it does say that they don't need to be informed but I rang up and insisted that they recorded it on the policy to make sure there was no room to wriggle out of a potential claim. When I spoke to them they actually commented that had I not insited it was recorded they would ...

Be nice to see where the injector spuds where placed initially. If they used straws, through the plenm or did it properly. I suppose the reducer can only really go in one place. Can rig it up on your car first just to see if you have any hope ? I would like to know what the injector colours are too ...

If he has already bought it you can always just install it and plug your scanner in and watch the fuel trims on live data. But i would be happier with the software and lead personally.

That's my issues... I'm much happier being able to use the proper software but could watch the trims on Live ...

I had a chap contact me last week looking for a quote. He had spoken to micromise and i dont think it is AEB based. Well from what he said anyhow. He also said any problems they didnt have any kind of UK network of installers. And they werent prepared to supply the software to him.

Not an s type but I mounted mine on the towbar itself on my Omega, then I didn't have to cut any panels at all

Had no issues with getting it signed off

Rather disappointingly my email to micromise has gone completely unanswered

I'm guessing no one has any experience then

Just a quick question as per the title really. Mate of mine has inherited a micromise system and is fitting it to his Omega. It's coming from a car of the same engine size and year (?) but I'd like to be able to have a look at it on the laptop and check it's running right :wink:

I think they have a point. Why spend £1,000 on a conversation on a car that is worth £300. The slightest accident would write it off. Wouldn't it be better to convert a car with several year's life left in it?

That varies dramatically with the manufacturer and quality of the installation.

I would suggest that you ensure the installer has done the same car/engine and try to speak to the customer to make sure all went well

Funnily enough, I seem to get the exact opposite... If I "Short Fill" (Fill up before the tank is empty/nearly empty) I find that I've had worse economy

Of course... It doesn't help that I tend to "drive like I've stolen it" most of the time

Done many an RX 300 Lexus (or is it lex'i ?) I'm presumimg it's the same engine. They convert well, go very well. They aren't the best on fuel as it is but they don't suffer terribly diminished economy on gas. Infact I had a report from one of my customers that it was doing the same on gas as it ...

The wiring loom is numbered 1-6 for both the interrupt plugs and the injector plugs. Every Stag loom I've seen had them numbered 1-3 on one bank and 4-6 on the other. I tend to leave them like this instead of changing them around and use 123 for cyl 135, 456 for 246 (talking about V6 engines here ...
