Re: Trouble cold starting ...

Hey Bryan, It's a BRC Genius Max vapouriser. It goes from the vapouriser to a t-piece which goes to two manifolds.

Sorry for my ignorance, are you suggesting to pull the main feed from the vapouriser to the manifolds after the engine is switched off ?

Re: Trouble cold starting ...

So I thought I'd start by swapping each injector one by one with a known 'good' injector and just seeing what happened each morning as to whether it failed to start again.

I've done all four injectors now and it still has the same issue. Which leads me to think maybe I have more than one leaky ...

Trouble cold starting ...

Hi folks,

Bit of an odd one. So when I run the car on LPG the following day the car fails to start on petrol. Symptoms are one of two things:

1) Starts briefly and cuts out. Crank a few times and eventually it starts
2) Doesn't start, need to crank a few tines, eventually starts.

If the car is ...

Re: BRC RPM Signal

Just to report back it was me being a tit. It was a broke wire.

What threw me is I was told that if I selected 'Coil' from the BRC software it used the same RPM sense wire. When I selected coil it did indeed show RPM which made me think the wire was ok. However when I disconnected the signal this ...

Re: BRC RPM Signal

I'll post up the screen I was messing about in tomorrow but I did a restore from a good known backup as soon as it happened and it didn't fix the issue. The original RPM wire was swapped as the garage taking the engine damaged it. I replaced it with a standard wire with no real insulation other than ...

Re: BRC RPM Signal

Yeah I'm sure, I soldered it direct to the crank sensor itself and dragged the wire to the LPG ECU. Nothing in between.

BRC RPM Signal

Hi folks,

Having a bit of an odd one. Subaru Legacy, 2L, car was originally setup using a BRC ECU and the engine speed setting was set to "Crank Sensor" which was all good.

Car was off the road, battery off, engine out etc. All went back in and found car would not swap over to gas. Could see ...

BRC Valve Protector (I think from valve-protector.de)

Hi folks,

Downloaded the software to take a look at the config of my valve protecto. I have a USB > Serial cable (with stereo jack shaped end as is required) however this is not the one that came with the kit.

Cable installs fine, registers as COM3 but the red icon at the bottom of the vale ...

Re: Firing Order Question

It's funny, as soon as I wrote the question I could see it was a daft one to ask but by then I was too far gone :)

So essentially as long as you do not get cylinders 1,2,3,4 mixed up in anyway on the LPG side you should be golden ? For instance if 1 and 2 became switched your effectively firing LPG ...

Firing Order Question

Hi folks,

No real issue as such but just looking to understand something for my own benefit.

I have a BRC system and whilst looking at the petrol injector wiring I noted that the LPG injector number does not align to the cylinder firing order.

In my case:

LPG Inj 1 = Petrol Cylinder 1
LPG Inj ...

WANTED: BRC Injector Plugs

Hi folks,

As above, after 4x Injector plugs ... decent length of wire attached would be good but plugs with tails also fine.

Thanks,

Re: BRC Sequent 32 LPG Issues ...

Found the issue. BRC P1 MAP T piece broken so small boost leak on petroleum which wasn’t noticeable. Obviously no MAP data. On gas so ... Joy.

I need an LPG install training course or something so I can do this stuff myself in the future :(

Re: BRC Sequent 32 LPG Issues ...

On gas it does not pull past 3k, stutters like it hits a fuel cut. I've not physically moved anything under the hood as it were. It feels fine on change over.

Also plugs and coil packs changed. Has made no difference whatsoever ....

Any ideas?

Oh and calibration I change percentage tip-in/out a few months back.

It's not perfect but it's as good as it's going to get I think.

Re: BRC Sequent 32 LPG Issues ...

Hi Si,

No codes, no errors only a very 'slight' lumpyness on idle. Hard to pin point which bank let alone which cylinder at the mo (If any)

Re: BRC Sequent 32 LPG Issues ...

So plugs swapped. No difference. Pulls great on petrol no hesitation(In fact pulls a bit better) if be shocked if it was coil packs ....

All plugs looked evenly worn and gaps are as they were when they went in.

It feels like when you ask a lot of has to turn up it just can't deliver it. Like ...
