Thanks for the reply Mark.
Thermostat recently replaced, prior to this and seemed to be working fine.
I did not notice what the temp gauge was showing at the time, the heater was on, well climate control, and I don't recall it working "overtime". The second time it happened I was over 10 miles into ...

Back on subject of the cold and LPG.
I noticed during the very cold spell, -16.5c, that the car had, unknown to me, switched back to petrol and the warning light on the switch was constantly illuminated, 2005 Corsa 1.2 SXi, on the way to work, I had already covered 40+ motorway miles by the time I ...

I do not know if it has injectors or not but I would assume so as it is 2005 and fuel injection on the petrol side. I have been running now through three tankfuls of petrol end to end and not the slightest cough or splutter. Now gone back to LPG. I will post any updates.

Thanks for all the comments

2005 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2

Just looking for some advice here.
Car is a 2005 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 with 67,000 miles on the clock, factory fit LPG system. A few weeks ago when I started it on a cold morning it was not running well and the "Exhaust Emission" warning light flashed a few times and then stayed on, I had managed to ...

49.9ppl !! Sutherlands, Isle of Skye

I was 49.9ppl a couple of weeks back and that was in Perth. Only two stations sell there and both are the same price. The guy at the station said it was because of the distance they were from the supplier.

Astra dual fuel - fitting an extra / bigger tank?

Pass on the bigger tank, but I have a factory fitted Corsa and the vast majority of the time fill up at a Jet at 39.9 now done over 37,500 miles with no problems with the running [touch wood]. The filling seems to be a bit hit and miss though, sometimes not taking enough to fill the tank, other ...

LPG Prices

The usual Jet garage I use was 34.9 the week before last [on holiday last week so did not use the car much] and tonight when I filled up it is now 39.9 per litre.

LPG prices

Hi Mike
Yes, that is the price at the pump. I am just a normal consumer, not buying in bulk just filling the car tank usually between 30 and 40 litres.

LPG prices

Hi Mike, not using it for heating just running the car.
It's the big companies BP & Shell that are charging 47.9, one 10 miles from home the other 17 miles. I pass one right on the road that I travel daily to work but take a short detour off the motorway to the Jet station at 34.9. I cannot see ...

34.9 at Jet Maddiston near Falkirk, which I can go via on my daily commute. Nearest place to home is 47.9, if needed I will go in there and just put in a enough to tide me over until the next trip to work.

Vectra 2.0 ls dual fuel keeps cutting out

My Corsa [2005 & 33,000 miles] changes over no problem to gas automatically. When the weather is very cold is usually takes about 1/2 mile before it changes but in the summer it is almost immediately after starting. I do sometimes, very rarely though, have a stall at junctions if it has just changed ...

Dirty fuel?

I've been following this thread. I have a 2005 1.2 Corsa with the "factory fit" system. When Vauxhall stopped doing dualfuel, I think mine might have been one of the last, it wasn't too long before there was a bit on their website saying it was still available but as an aftermarket installation ...

LPGMAP Re-launched with new downloads

I tried to put in a few postcodes and came back with a locator near Cheadle, I am in Crieff, when I clicked on the locator it came up with the postcode entered is not recognised. Does it need the exact postcode of the filling station? Also the station I regularly have been using for over a year now ...

Why does LPG only go up not down?

The place where I fill up, the vast majority of the time, had their price at 39.9 at its highest recently. It is now down to 34.9. When I bought my car last year in June it was 29.9.

I am with NatWest Insurance, they have noted on the policy that it is an LPG conversion but no additional premium that I was told of when I took it out.

LPG gas tank shows too low too quickly

My 2005 Corsa, with probably a very similar tank set up, seems to be the same, drops very quickly from half to empty. I usually get it around the 250 mark when it will drop from 1/4 to empty with flashing light but will continue on for another 80 miles or so. Sometimes the needle will move back up ...
