You need to grow a mustache in that case Simon

I'd be interested to hear other people's views on how effective a 1ms petrol addition is as a valve lube compared to a standalone valvesaver setup?

Re: What Is It With Installers Not Wanting Work!?
Having been disappointed by two installers already, I hope you excuse me for having held off for 3 months before returning to leave a review. It's given me enough time to see how Simon's work and advice has fared.

Which LPG Front End?
After much deliberation, I feel that getting my 2006 Romano installation fixed to cure the rough idle, power loss and EML just isn't worth bothering with and I may aswell just install a newer modern kit.
I undertake all my own servicing and maintenance so am relatively clued up. Hence, I wonder ...

Simon,
Your replies are truly appreciated! We have some friends in Leeds who we have been meaning to visit for a while now, so maybe we need to get a date set with them and I can visit you whilst we're up there. Would end up being a weekend day though...

What Is It With Installers Not Wanting Work!?
I have posted a couple of threads on here relating to the EML and rough idle I am experiencing. I took the truck to my nearest installer 6 months ago, Warren at AtoZ-LPG, who undertook a service and remap, but couldn't prevent the EML from showing. I recently took the truck for a second opinion to ...

Re: Cannot Clear Check Engine Light - Apparently?
I was recommended another installer who I visited a couple weeks back. He too could not clear the CEL. I was by his side the entire time so know he worked quite hard trying to find the symptom.
He spent the best part of an hour trying to get the fuel compensation down to around 5% at idle. We then ...

Between 10 and 300 haha! I'll follow your and the local installers advice and refrain from spending pounds on lube

I'm sure it is. So... is it worth investing in some prevention solution or does my engine not require one?

Re: Do I Need Valve Saver/Flash Lube?
It's done around 60,000 miles since the system has been installed, I would assume most of this has been on LPG. No idea whether it has gone through many or any valves in the hands of the previous owner?

Do I Need Valve Saver/Flash Lube?
I have a 2004 (04 - 08) Ford F150 4.6l V8 which has had a Romano system installed for the past 9 years. My local installer advised that I do not need a flashlube/valve saver system but can of course have one installed as a precautionary measure if I prefer. So, is it correct that this 4.6l engine ...

LPG Tune In South East
Do any of you serve the South-East? I have an F150 with a Romano system with the following three issues I would like someone to take a look at:
- The EML light is on continuously with both banks showing as too lean;
- After starting, from cold the LPG will switch over from petrol in roughly under a ...

Re: Cannot Clear Check Engine Light - Apparently?
I'm in Surrey, Simon. Thank you very much for that detailed reply. How would I know if the truck has a fuel return? It's an 04-08 f150. I don't have a detailed OBD reader, only the SuperChips computer which will read codes and clear them.

Re: Stiff (hard to pull out) Filler Dust Cap
Had a crack at this today. Loosening the housing screws and manually stretching the housing out didn't make it any easier in removing the cap. A replacement cap fitted perfectly. However, seeing as I wanted my original cap retained on the plastic wire, I set about following hitman's advice. I ...

Re: Cannot Clear Check Engine Light - Apparently?
They arnet generally a problem child tbh. Pretty straightforward.
Does it make a difference (to the LPG tuning) if there is a SuperChips programme installed?
And should it be possible to fine tune without the screw dials on the vaporiser? Or are they pretty fundamental as I do see them mentioned ...

It's an F150. By "right tool", I presume you are referring to the software. Is this manufacture specific?

Re: Cannot Clear Check Engine Light - Apparently?
I should have mentioned that he did suggest a new vaporiser, however at circa £300 (I recall him saying), he doesn't think it's worth it.
I'd rather not name the shop but suffice to say they do get recommended a fair bit on various forums, at least for being local in the area if nothing else.
