You are a pro installer right? Do you know how it is with pre existing lpg conversions /diy conversions? Would they ask for some sort of professional sign off doc?

How is it these days? I hear the LPGA register is no more....If i buy a car with an lpg conversion and declare the conversion to insurers, what paperwork will they ask for (if any)?

So the problem is the V-tec system (not working with single point)?

Apparently under light loads it opens one inlet valve fully and the other slightly -b to create "swirl" - under higher demands (or high rpm - I'm not sure...) both inlets are fully open.

My 16v EFI daihatsu has done over 12 ...

ANy reason not to convert one of these using single point?

Are all petrol cars now direct injection?

I'm still running a 1998 Daihatsu with a single point system....as the car gets older my thoughts turn to what could replace it. However I am complete out of touch with modem motors.
Is there anything modern e.g. post 2017 with port injection?

I was not aware of the reducer increasing flow with increasing MAP. I just bench tested my Etagas reduced with compressed air and a Mityvac on the vacuum port. I jetted down the outlet to around 4mm and turned on the air. The effect was clear ...

I think I am right in saying that there is no technical reason why liquid LPG injection systems need to be cold started on petrol.

One major advantage over dry gas injection at least...

In the meantime the least we can do is start getting rid of the diesel cars and run taxis and buses on clean LPG or CNG instead of stubbornly sticking with carcinogenic diesel. At least then the people who do walk and cycle wont get poisoned as they do so!

Yep I was in the Lithuania recently on a bicycle tour. The air is thick with the stench of golf TDIs!

I've always set mine for gas starting, never been a problem for me, in fact some of my vehicles have the petrol system removed completely.

A multipoint on the other hand, has to run on petrol until the cold running enrichment (think choke) is off so you'll do at least a mile or so on petrol, more ...
