just fitted this lpg mixer to my edelbrock carb and it runs lean when i rev it, only way to stop it running lean is to tape up the air filter.

anyone know how to fix this

tinley tech say there must be something wrong with my system but it was working fine before i changed the mixer back when i had it on twin SU's

i was also told to take the y piece they supplied me with out and replace with two powervalves and use both top and bottom outlets on vaporizer which i did but has not helped. even with both powervalves fully open it still goes lean when the throttle is opened

What air filter are you using and what vaporiser?

You know how to set up the R90 and power valves?

Design of mixer looks familiar and I could check on TT's website to check what it is... but might as well just say what I'm getting at - Some mixers similar to look of this have a vacuum connection which must be plumbed correctly (sometimes even involving a vac solenoid) to work properly, they'd be compatible with the R90. Some of the yank mixers (Impco stuff) probably not compatible with R90's.

yeah i know how to set them up roughly, i basically get it running and adjust r90 till my idle is about .92 then rev it and adjust powervalve till it richens up under load. i aim for .92 idle .85 on acceleration and 1.05 cruise. i have a wideband lambda sensor i put in the dash. are my numbers right?

theres no vacuum connection on this mixer, iv managed to get it working now, i took it apart and lowered the top plate and it all seems to be ok now.

Post the link to the mixer you bought? I used to really like Sprintgas, an Australian brand but supplies of them dried up in the UK. I tried to import them but they just replied via email to say contact the UK distributor and the UK distributor said they hadn't had any for ages and didn't seem interested... then the distributor went out of business. Like Sprintgas wasn't interested in the UK market.

Glad you've got it working. It would seem a long shpt to try to achieve the very specific AFR's you aimed for but good luck! Though why have you chosen those AFR's?

i get the lambda readings somewhere near but never exact, i chose those readings as i read it online that those were good to aim for.

If I knew what the numbers meant I might be able to tell you if they are right or not......

Are they lambda? If so I would say you'd want rich on acceleration and 1 at cruise.

yes i used lambda as im told its the same figures for petrol and lpg where air fuel ratio is different for each fuel and i cant remember too many numbers
