This is my current car; only 63k on the clock, imported into the U.K. from new and well looked after.

Would there be any problems with converting this to LPG and if so, what are these? I've always been told that the JDM engines were built with stronger internals, but not sure if this is just an urban myth or not.

Running costs are not disastrous currently @ 29mpg but the thought of super car performance and the equivalent of over 50 mpg just makes me chuckle.

Any thoughts, advice or input from those who know would be great; thank you.

No problems converting it but you may want to read the following threads and take care when choosing an installer ;-) I'm not saying I'm the only one who gets good results on these models because I know that's not true, but there may be plenty of installers that would come across as all confident but then not deliver the results.

Though I haven't converted a twin scroll model (which yours may not be, but the vehicle that is subject of above threads is), I see no reason why it should prove any more difficult than other Subaru turbos of which I've converted plenty that run just as well on LPG as on petrol, the most recent last week http://www.lpgforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14211

I will more than likely end up correcting the problems with the vehicle that is the subject of the top two links.

Simon

Thanks Simon; mine is not a twin scroll model.

I'll have a read of the info you've kindly provided though. Would you be able to PM me with approximate costs and time it would take please? This may be something I look to do, depending on the wife's next car of choice for her later this year.

Many thanks

David
