hi all :)
new on here but i,ve been running on gas for 7 or 8 yrs now, mine,s a wee bubble micra with a basic single point thingy and a little 25L tank
its had a few mods done (2mm headskim, lightened flywheel, 260 deg/10mm lift inlet cam, somewhat tamer piper exhaust cam a different nozzle setup and various other tweaks) and has been ragged at mallory park and shakespears dragstrip a few times :D
i,ve had zero lpg related problems so far, with over 100k miles combined from the 2 cars (previous micra) despite off the scale lean narrowband lambda readings at cruise (the exhaust valves have survived without wear with no additives used, but the primary cat showed a small amout of "torching" on the center)

cheers, frank

Now that's my sort of engineering!

But if it works, as it obviously does, good for you and welcome.

thanks gilbertd :) and yes its a bit ghetto
here,s me trying to keep up with an almera 1.8 sport http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQaShwpGlE8
there was a huge gas flame emitting the exhaust apparently (you can hear a pop when changing down to 4th)
and a couple of vids of me at shakies
http://s129.photobucket.com/albums/p232 ... CF0669.flv

i am averaging 130 miles on a 20L refill (often flogas or nechells brum) which is,nt too bad with those cams and 100hp on tap (only just scraped through the mot emissions last week  )
so the lpg has saved me thousands over the years really eh

Now if you'd reduced your weight by leaving the multimeter, ice scraper and coffee cup in the pits, you'd maybe have caught him!

But you certainly gave the RX a run for his money and those things are damn quick!

 the multimeter indicates my lambda voltage on the fly gilbertd :) the rest is excess weight tho, the sunroof was swopped for a 30w pv panel to save weight and to run the alternator at 1/3 speed

and the petrol tank was dispensed with last year, and 3 of the windows replaced with perspex
